POR Refurbed Rooms

I thought I had read that the POR refurbed rooms were supposed to have queen beds instead of full. Looking on the all ears site it says they have full. Can anyone confirm the bed size in the new rooms.

The refurbed rooms are queen beds. Not all rooms are refurbed yet, so the old rooms do still have full beds.

We stayed in a newly refurbed room in early December. Definetly queen beds. The rooms were really nicely done. We were in AB and my little nephew loved the pull down bed as well.

I have been trying to find somewhere that says how big the new trundle beds are. Are they smaller then the oringinal one's? The pictures make them look like they are about the size of a crib mattress.:confused3

You can check the size of the trundle bed on the POR Thread.

Also, at POR, they received queen mattresses, not queen beds.

The box springs and frames are the same full size; they only put queen mattresses on top. The queen sized mattresses overhang by about three inches on each side.

I don't know the exact size but I did read they are meant for age 11 and under. These are more difficult for an older child or a tall child, because since they are elevated and not on the floor like the old ones, they can't really hang off it at all.

We're considering POR for our trip in January. We have 4 kids (including a toddler) so that's one of the few WDW resorts that can accommodate us. The floorplans I've seen make it look a little cramped for that many people. I was wondering what someone who has actually been there thinks.

I have stayed at POR with three other adults and SSR in a studio with two other adults.

By far, we were much more comfortable at POR; lots of storage space, less room taken up by the kitchenette, entry way and closets at the studio.

You will not feel cramped at all.

Thank you for the info. The age limit helps.

I was there in August, stayed in Arcadian building. The new rooms are soooo nice. The queen beds were so comfy! Arcadian is a great location, i'd recommend asking for that one. That whole building is refurbed. :)
