yomd = year of a million dreams

It is clearly posted at the resorts now that mugs are for use for the length of stay on the trip they were purchased. But it appears they can now be used at any resort beverage station - not just the one you purchased it at or are staying at. Really helps out for a split stay.

This I did not know! Is this something new now? That would be nice since we are at POR and plan on trying out the POFQ pool a couple of times- will save for a long walk back to our resort!

I didn't know that either....
In fact, I just found out that POR guest can use POFQ pool, which I plan to do when we go in august. My kids have always wanted to try that dragon slide, although I heard it's actually smaller than the slide at por...

do they have a pool side bar at pofq? :drinking1

They certainly do. It's called Mardi Grogs.

We were able to use our POFQ mugs at PORS when we were there in Nov 2005. This was when the mugs were still marked for each resort. They didn't seem to have an issue with using the POFQ when we visited PORS to use the pool and had lunch there.

Does anyone know if only mugs are refillable? Im asking because my DS1 is not really ready for a cup/mug. I wonder if I could buy a sippy type cup and pay the same amount for the mug? any advice??:wizard:

As far as I know the mug comes in two sizes. One looking more like a travel coffee mug and the other an insulated handled mug. We always bought two and just poured the drink into another cup back at the room.

Yes, you would have been able to do this because POR and POFQ are sister resorts and in 2005 had the same refillable mug at both resorts, so it would not have mattered if you refilled your mug at POR or POFQ. Since becoming sister resorts (I think in 2001?) they have always shared refillable mugs. Not only were the mugs in 2005 (and 2006) completely identical, they both said "Port Orleans" and did not specify Riverside or French Quarter.

When we were there in April/May we only saw the YOMD refillable mugs in the travel size (designed to fit in cup holders in cars).

I have never bought my kids mugs. I have walked right up and filled up a sippy cup. And no one has ever said a word! Me and my husband always buy one. I've had people ask me if I was enjoying my trip as they cleaned the soda fountain.

I've noticed a lot of people who use the coffee cups from their rooms to get drinks. I think some people don't even buy the mugs to tell you the truth!
