I know this may sound stupid, but what type of soaps/shampoos do they have at POR? If they have the H20 products, im good. if they have the shampoo and conditioner combined I need to take my own. Also I have read conflicting stories about the kind of coffee maker that is in the room. I read one that said it was a regular drip coffee pot and another said it was similar to the keurigs. tia!

My last stay at POR in Nov. 2012 had the Keurig type coffee machine. The shampoo and conditioner was combined.

I'm not sure if it's still that way but I've got a trip coming up staying there so I've decided to bring my own shampoo and conditioner just in case. I'm checking a bag so it's not a problem for me.

Im sure they were H2O products in the room, but they were definitely combined shampoo/conditioner. My last stay at POR was in the mansions section in November 2011 and they were the old drip type coffee makers in the bedroom, (you had a large coffee disc which made a jug of coffee.) Here is a picture of the room with it in.

I hope the link works and anyway the coffee was nasty!

When we stayed in the Royal rooms last year and this year, we had the H2O products and the shampoo and conditioner were seperate bottles.

Thank you all so much for your replies! I didn't even think to mention what rooms we had booked,it is the royal rooms!

BTW: the coffee makers apparently are not Keurig brewers that use the K-Cup type coffee, but are Pod brewers that use small coffee "pucks."

ok thanks....I assume I would still be able to get plain hot water from them, though?

Yes, I believe it works like Keurig in that regard. Just don't bring any k-cups with you :thumbsup2

Thank you all so much for the pic and for the replies :) I greatly appreciate it!

It depends what you wanted it for. The water from them was hot but not boiling. Useless for making a British cup of hot tea!!
