POR pool closure. Best alternative?

We booked a Royal room for January 28th. I just now see that the main pool at POR will be closed for refurbishment. One of the main reasons we visit Disney so often if for the pools. ( sounds crazy but we live in Fl and are AP so any reason is an excuse to have a disney day!)
I know we can use POFQ pool since they are part of the same resort in a way. We have a car but the boat sounds nice... What is best way to get there?
Drive, bus, boat or walk? Does the boat go straight to POFQ or to Disney Springs first?
Any alternative ideas for a stressfree pool day when ours is closed?

Since you're in a Royal room, it would probably be quicker to walk. Maybe take the boat back? Or sometimes we would take the bus to POR, if the POFQ buses were sharing. We just ask the bus driver before we get on.

That's too bad about the pool! We love POR and part of why it calls to me over the allure of cheaper value resorts is that the pool area is so lovely and shaded. I hop you like the POFQ pool, too!

I'd just walk. It's not very far-especially from the Royal Rooms. Many people walk over to POFQ from POR just for the beignets anyway!

I would use a quiet pool.

I'd use the quiet pool too, on our last trip we didn't use the main pool at all, justthe one outside our room. For getting to french quarter though i'd walk, it's a lovely walk along the river.

It is. I would not hike for a pool though! LOL!
