Okay so I think we have decided on either POR or POFQ, (after looking at so many others)

What are the good and bad of both? Also from my understanding they share a bus? Which resort gets picked up first and dropped off last? (though I perfer to be the last one picked up and first one dropped off)

Also where do you perfer to stay while there, like which building?

BTW we are four adults, My DH (22) myself (21) my mom and dad (in their early 40's).

I'm staying at POFQ in August. We stayed there back in 2001 and loved it. We did stroll over to POR for breakfast one morning. That looked really nice as well. I like POFQ for the size. It's a very small resort compared to some of the others, so if you're going during a busy time, it may seem less crowded. Also love the beingets for breakfast. However, I think they only have a food court there, no sit down restaurant.

When we were there six years ago, I believe POFQ got picked up first and dropped off last. I liked it that way as you were better able to get a seat in the morning.

POFQ is the way to go. Like Cinderella 822 said it is smaller with only around 1,000 rooms, which is awesome. I have stayed at many mod resorts but POFQ is DH and my favorite. We will be spending our honeymoon there 11/29-12/3. I can't wait!!!!

We recently returned from POR and loved everything about it! The good: beautiful landscaping, nice rooms, the boat to DTD, Boatwright's (yummy breakfast!), nice main pool and several quiet pools, large gift/sundry shop, Bob Jackson performing in the lounge. The bad: nothing! Of course, POR takes a beating on the shared buses, but we didn't have any problems at all. I believe that WHEN they share (because at peak times and from the MK they each have their own bus) POFQ is picked up AND dropped off first.

We walked over to visit at POFQ and found it to be lovely as well. The good: small enough so that everything is a short walk. Pretty landscaping, not as lush and thick like the AB part of POR, but more manicured with pretty fountains and courtyards. Niccely furnished rooms. Beignets in the food court! Also has the boat to DTD. Eliot Dyson performing in the lounge. Nice pool (smaller than POR) and hot tub. The bad: once again, even though we weren't actually staying there, I don't think there is a bad side to POFQ. The same deal applies to the buses - no problems that I could see. There were no angry, disgruntled people on the buses we rode, so it didn't look to me like they had problems either :lmao:

I liked the AB side of POR over the mansions, but some people like the mansions better. We were in AB39 and it was a great location. Since POFQ is small, any building is convenient.

Enjoy your stay!

I have stayed at both, and both times in my early 20's. I prefer POFQ. It's so easy to get around, I love how the buildings all look different because they are like french quarter rowhomes, and we enjoyed being so close to everything at POFQ yet still able to walk over to POR in 10 minutes.
POR was too big and I got lost quite a few times - especially because we were in the mansions section and all the buildings looked the same. Never made it over to POFQ when I stayed there.

We stayed at POFQ this past summer and loved it, I love how close the resort is, POR is SOOOOO spread out, I loved the bus service for POFQ, we were ALWAYS the first ones on and first ones off, the poor people at POR always stood and by the time we got to the last bus stops many couldn't get on. We loved the theming of POFQ and the pool with the sea serpent slide is WONDERFUL!
