Epcot
At least our building at POR is close to the West Depot. We never had to wait too long for a bus. We arrived at Epcot and really didn't have a good plan. We jumped on Spaceship Earth and I really enjoyed this ride, just my speed. My DH, DS9, and DS12 got a fastpass for Test Track, in the mean time they went on Mission Space. My DD6 and I waited where the riders got off and she played around. We also sent a video email to ourselves (couldn't think of a single other email address!) My two boys looked a little green when they got off the ride. Kind of reminded me of Roller Coaster Tycoon with the little green people after a roller coaster! Well, now they were not in the mood for Test Track, so we were going to watch Cranium Command, but Wonders of Life was closed. Darn I really wanted to get inside the mind of a 12 year old!
It started to rain, I packed rain ponchos for everyone, but they were still at the hotel!! The umbrella and poncho stands that popped up reminded me of Roller Coaster Tycoon too! Anyways, we ducked inside Mouse Gears to avoid the downpour! I bought my DS9 and DD6 their first Disney pin and whatever the strap thing is called. They were thrilled. My DS12 was sad, because he had some pins and strap thing from our trip 4 years ago, but refused to bring it. He also refused to save any money for the trip, thinking he wouldn't want anything. I called him "the kid who didn't save for Disney!" He now knows what a loan officer is (ME!) He is in debt now!!
The rain stopped and it was time to tour the world! My DS9 was totally into this part of the trip. We bought a passport for $10 and they took turns putting the stickers on and getting it stamped. They also got a mask and a hanging thing from Mexico. I decided it was time for a snack! Nachos from Mexico were great and the margarita tasted pretty good. Norway was fun, we went on the Maelstrom and loved the troll in the gift shop. Great picture too! We saw Mulan in China and saw the Circle Vision movie, which I would recommend. We took great pictures in Germany, and Italy. Jasmine was in Morocco. We saw the greatest street show in France, it just made my day. I can't describe it enough to do it justice. This French looking guy blew a whistle and was soooo funny, I won't tell you everything he does in case he does this show all the time. I wouldn't want to spoil it. Belle and Sleeping Beauty were found in France. We found Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore in the UK. Just when I was purchasing some chips, I spotted Mary Poppins in the gardens. She was great! When my kids were next to her, she said "No Slouching!!" All three of them stood up straight!! Everyone in line got a good chuckle out of that one. Popcorn in Canada is a must (I love popcorn and didn't know it originated there!) Anyways, we were pooped. We messed around with a few more things, nothing too exciting.
They decided to try Test Track and they all loved it. I'm a whimp and thought Maelstrom was good enough for me.
It was chilly by this time and our jackets were back at the hotel with our rain ponchos. We got back to our room to get our jackets and walked all the way back to the food court for a late snack. Then the horrible walk back to the room. We were tired.
