DH and I are going for 4 day just him and I, we are booked for POR but I am starting to think that POFQ might be more romantic, any ideas. I like the idea of the hot tub being all by it self. I thought I saw this on a post is this true, and if so where is it in POFQ? I also liked the idea of having the smaller pools at POR, I was going to request Building 18 at POR. How long can I wait to make the change if I decide to change to FQ? Just want to have a nice time with DH, I can't believe we will be leaving DS12 home.

Can't vouch for POFQ yet, but I can for POR. POR is absolutely lovely and serene. The photos you see on here really don't do it justice. I think it all boils down to what your idea of romantic is. Also don't forget that you can go to both resorts since they are "sister" resorts.

That's interesting b/c DH and i just booked POFQ for our anniversary in Dec yesterday. It's small and we think it's romantic. We've stayed in POR before and it's just too spreadout for us. It is nice though just too big for us.

I thought POFQ would be nice for a couple trip, also. My husband and I stayed there in January without our kids. It was very quiet and nice. We paid a little extra for the king-bed room, which was great. The king-bed rooms are on the corners so you get 2 windows and the room feels larger. Our room, #2223, was next to the stairs - very convenient, but we heard no noise at all. We did not have a water view, but it was right at the end of our walk-way, so if we walked out of our room and looked to the left, we could see the river. The boat dock was close by, too, and we took the boat to DTD our last night to shop and have dinner at Earl of Sandwich and dessert at Ghiradelli's.

It was a quick walk to the food court to pick up breakfast on our way to the parks, or to take back to the room to eat (which I did once while my husband was getting ready to go). We didn't use the pool or hot tub, so can't comment.

For a quick trip, it was nice and fairly romantic. It didn't feel as "resort-y" to me as CSR, where we usually stay with our boys, but we did enjoy it.

I have stayed at both... I prefer POFQ much more... location, room decoration and the overall feel. The mansions at POR are nice but not much into the floral theme. I stayed at POFQ for my honeymoon and had an amazing time!

Another vote for POFQ but have not stayed at POR. We stayed at POFQ last April & LOVED it. The hot tub is in front of the pool & hidden by shrubs & things. It seems very isolated. We just love the size of the resort & the bus service is wonderful. We will be checking in a week from today!!
