POR or POFQ.....POFQ experts I need your help!!

It's official!! We are going from April 27-May2. I absolutely loved POR and I have been debating wether to try POFQ. It will be Me,DH,DN11,DN2 almost 3 and SIL.We will have 2 rooms and I was wondering what is POFQ like?? From reading some posts, I know it is smaller ,but, Can you rent bikes and boats like at POR?? What is the atmosphere like?? How was the food court?? I'm really tempted to stay there ,but, I can't seem to make up my mind!! This will be DN2(almost 3) first time and I want it to be real special!!!

We've stayed at both POR and POFQ as well as other Disney resorts. POFQ is my favorite Disney resort. If you stay at POFQ, you can still use the facilities of POR. You might have to go to POR for rentals. Not sure if that part of POFQ has reopened but it is only a 5 mintue walk or boat ride between the resorts.

POFQ is our favorite moderate. It is less spread out than the other moderates (which we like), and we've always had a good experience there. We liked that it had only one bus stop - and it picks up first before going to POR, so you had a good shot at getting a seat! We had no problems with the food court, and I know my sister and her family rented a ...can't remember what you call them - surrey? when they were staying there. If I hadn't discovered the AKL & waking up to animals outside your room, I'd be staying at POFQ!

Thanks..I knew they were next to each other, I just did not know it was only a five minutes walk ...

We did the waking up to the animals thing twice ,but, I had a "situation" at AKL,on our last trip there, that made me fall "out of love" as fast as I fell "in love" with AKL.

Which ended up being the best thing that could happen ,because, we discovered POR and now we have POR fever..beautiful landscaping,renting the bikes to ride around the resort and my husband who is a "nautical man" loves that he is able to rent a . As a matter of fact,I'm sure that is his favorite part of the vacation

I have stayed at POFQ and really loved it. My favorite thing was having fresh beignets every morning at the food court. I will be going again in early March and requested FQ, but was told it would not yet be open due to renovations. We opted for Riverside instead, but I can't help wondering.......do they also have the fresh beignets there also. If anyone knows, please advise.

Sorry, no beignets at Riverside but they do have an awesome pecan pie. POFQ opens March 21st if you are going near the end of March, you could change ressies.

We will be staying here before moving on to the Cabins at FW. We will have our bikes along to ride in the campground. Will we have any problem riding our own bikes around?
