POR or GF?

We loved our Royal Room but not only was it a fair amount of walking, it's outdoors and not completely level, which might be harder on you than a walk down a hotel hallway. I think you might be more comfortable at the GF. (Which is not exactly a loss- it's beautiful!)

GF is a lot better than POR, but I actually recommend CR (a tower room) given your mobility issues. It's Disney's most compact resort (least walking), and you'd be on the monorail line to quickly get to GF for 1900 Park Fare if you wish.

We may do this one next time! It was a contender but we ruled it out bc for some reason I thought it might be the busiest inside/ over stimulating. Not sure why!

From what I hear, if you chose a Royal Room Pool or River view, you'd be close right next to the main building/bus stops.

Being on the Monorail would alleviate a ton of walking and bus riding.. easy access to both MK and Epcot!!!!

POR is nice and I never had a bad time there but if money were no object, I would take GF all day, every day.

Between the two, GF for monorail access.

Have you considered Business Class at CSR? The resort is the most centrally located, with very short bus rides to AK, DHS, and Epcot...and the BC rooms are close to the food court and a bus stop.

We stayed at GF just this past November and it was great. We have also stayed twice in the RR and had a great time. I have to disagree with some of the posts that "think" the walk is much shorter at GF, especially from the villas building. The 2 stays at POR-RR we were less then 5 minutes from everything. Our stay at GF we were at the end of Boca Chica and it took a little longer to get to the bus/Monorail/Gasparilla's. GF is definitely the nicer resort and the villa would be much better to deal with DH snoring, a CPAP machine would be even be better I would not recommend taking the monorail to EPCOT from GF, because you have to get off at TTC and then walk down and back up the ramps and then wait again for the EPCOT monorail.
