My family of 4 are considering a moderate resort for the first time. We usually stay at WL but are trying to cut costs because we are doing 7 night Disney cruise too. How are beds at both resorts...comfy? How about buses...too long wait? Any problems with buses too full so you have to wait for another bus? I just don't wanna regret changing resorts.

I would check out both threads, they are very well maintained.

You have asked two very subjective questions; what do you consider comfy and how long of a wait is too long?

POR!!! We have stayed at both, and POR is by far our family favorite! It is lovely, tranquil, peaceful and beautifully landscaped- you won't be disappointed!

My family has stayed at both resorts, as well. POR is also my family's favorite resort. I think the bus service at POR is better. Use the South Depot, right out the door of Fulton's. It is the main stop and usually first. Both resorts have queen beds. CSR has the health club, if that is something you would use.

I'm seeing a lot of positive feedback for POR...thanks for all your suggestions!

I've also stayed at both, most recently a Royal Room at POR. I like both places, but CSR may have an edge over POR. I like their pool area a lot better and the bus situation was better there as well (we've stayed three times at CSR). It's also more "Deluxe" in feel to us than POR. However, I think POR has a better food court situation if you tend to eat at a resort a lot.

I vote for POR. Depending on when you go, you can hit a large convention at CSR so monitor that carefully. I found the bus service abysmal at CSR, even though most rave about it. I personally have never had an issue at POR and i've stayed there 10 times now. Depending on how old your kids are, Yeeha Bob in the lounge at night is awesome. The boat to DTD is fun and POR has a good pool. Also, POR has the best food court in WDW in my opinion.

Both times we have stayed at CSR, there have been big conventions. The resort is so spread out that we barely noticed them. Sure we'd see people walking around in business attire, but that was it. I don't have experience with POR, but CSR is beautiful. Definitely a large resort so I would book a preferred view to be closer to the main buildings. We never had issues with buses (typical wait times for those), and the rooms are beautiful and large enough that our party of 4 was comfortable. Have a great stay wherever you choose!

We've stayed at both and would recommend CSR in a heartbeat. The beds were some of the most comfortable I've been in. Both resorts have queen beds so size wise no difference. The rooms were a little nicer at CSR and they have some amenities that other mods don't have because they are a convention center, like a fitness center.

Both resorts are big but we preferred CSR and its layout over POR. We had a room in the ranchos section at CSR and we were super close to the main pool, our closest bus stop was less than 2 minutes from us, and about 5 minutes from the main building. We had a room in parterre place at POR and we were far from a bus stop (both the main building and the closes depot were about 10 minutes from our room) the food court was even further than the bus stop and the feature pool further than that. You may want to consider a preferred room to be closer to the resort amenities.

We felt the bus stops were spread around the resort better at CSR. The buses at POR were usually standing room only after the first stop when we were there in September. At night the lines for the POR bus were so long we took the POFQ bus and walked an extra 15 minutes to avoid the wait. We never had either situation in July at CSR.

For us, we just did not enjoy POR at all. We've stayed all over, were usually there 3-4 times per year, but POR is the only resort we will not return to.

We have stayed at both before as well and we love CSR. Both have queen beds but the "changing area" at CSR has two large wooden doors that slide close and offers a bit more privacy than the curtains in other moderates and values.

The Jaguar Slide at the pool may be the coolest slide of any of the resorts.

CSR also offers "Business Class" rooms. For an extra $20.00 a night you have access to a lounge where from 7:00am - 10:00am they have a continental breakfast. Juices, milk, pastries, cereal, fresh fruit, bagels. Then in the evening from 5:00pm - 10:00pm they serve fresh salsa, chips, hummus, bag chips, soda's, beer and sangria. ALL FREE!!!!!:thumbsup2

If you stay "Business Class" you are also located in building 9B. 9B is located very near a bus stop, el centro (which is where all restaurants and the gift shop is), and is a short walk to the main pool.

"Business Class" at CSR makes you feel like your staying at a Deluxe for Moderate price.

Been to both which are great. In terms of room theming, grounds , restaurants, pools et ... They both are large but not too bad to be honest. Other then the 2nd best pool slide out of all categories , CSR has the Best bus service by Far... I also like the pepper market which most don't. Either route you take, I'm sure you'll love and have an amazing time...Good luck picking.. LoL
