POR or CSR

We are booked for CSR right now and we know we love CSR. I wouldn't have even considered changing resorts except we recently discovered the pictures of the ROYAL ROOMS at POR. I don't love the look of POR, I don't like the idea of sharing buses, and the room is more expensive. I really love the rooms though so are there any POR fans out there who can share why they love it? Thanks in advance!

We love POR. Of the resorts that we have stayed at so far it is our favorite. BC is the one we are trying this trip.

We love the option of the boat to DTD and even POFQ. We boat or stroll to POFQ for their beignets. We like the quiet pools and feel that they have the best foodcourt of all the resorts. So many options. Love the made to order pasta bar that they have. Their giftshop is one of the best as well.

We have rented a surrey and rode it between both resorts. Never had a problem with the buses though we do travel in the value season and that may be why. We actually prefer the AB side of the resort they do not have the royal rooms that you are interested in though.

We have never stayed at CSR but have visited it. We just did not feel it was for us.

We are a Mod family and our favs are POR, POFQ and CSR. POR and POFQ went above CSR when they got queen beds. For us there is just more to do at POR, rent a bike or boat, take a carriage ride, boat to DTD and Yee haw Bob for good family entertainment We also like the lushness of the resort with the river and that we can walk over to POFQ if we wanted to. I would give the bus edge to CSR, but I will also say that the majority of the time at POR or POFQ we did not share buses. Pool slide and the dig site playground goes to CSR but I like the location of the pool area at POR a bit better. I always say give it a shot, if you like it, great! And if you do not then you will know for the future. Have you thought of a possible split stay?

I've stayed at every Mod except CSR, however, I have family that has stayed there and they much prefer POR. The reasons I like it so much is because it has the best food court on property, a good pool with a good pool bar, great activites and serene theming. With the refub now adding queen beds, it doesn't have that hanging over it's head and to me I think it's above the other mods.

We stayed at CSR on our last trip and loved it. I would recommend it to everybody to try. CSR refurbished their rooms last winter and have queen beds also. That being said we are staying at POR this time with a royal room. Our goal is to have stayed at every resort on property. So sometimes its good to switch things up.

Haha! That is what we are afraid of! The moderates are more in our regular price range.

Just wanted to point out that you don't really share buses at POR. POR and POFQ will occasionally share buses during the day when they aren't as busy, but during the mornings and at night, each resort has their own buses. We went in September when it was slow and only shared with POFQ three or four times, and it was a non-issue.

We have only stayed at the CSR (nine times, in fact) and love everything about it. That being said, the only other moderate we would consider if the CSR were not available would be the POR-Riverside. I love their food court and I like the theme much better than POFQ and CBR.

However, we got spoiled staying DVC this past September and will probably be going back to that again next year.

They are both nice. We stayed at POR 2x and really like it and have also toured around the FQ. The relaxing boat ride to DTD is nice. The buses can share with FQ so that can slow things down.

Just got back yesterday from 8 nights at CSR and we loved it! My wife and I agreed that we both liked it more than POR. But that's just us. The DIG pool is awesome. We went to the Poly and WL and the DIG pool and atmosphere (IMO) is much better. The slide is 123 feet long and the kids (and me) loved it.

Beds are queens and very comfortable and privacy doors between sink area and beds are great. Maybe next time we'll try CBR, but for now CSR is our favorite mod.
