POR or CBR

Hi, All.

I'll be making my first ever solo trip to WDW October 23-27. I had my hopes set on staying at POFQ, but, as we all know, it will be closed for rehab at that time.

I am holding a room at CBR, as I don't want to take a chance that the rehab will roll over to POR by then and I will be either displaced or inconvenienced. However, I am a little put off by the size of CBR. I've never stayed at either POR or CBR before, but have walked through POR while staying at POFQ and found it very beautiful. However, something new might be nice, too.

As you can tell, I am very conflicted. I'm looking for any advice folks would be willing to share.

CBR is a great resort. If you ask for certain buildings CBR will seem smaller to you. Usually though if you stay in far reaches of CBR it would take 10 mins to walk to the food court OPR.

I would stay at CBR and not have to worry about the refurb at PO. I suggest you read the CBR FAQ thread. You will find lots of great information which should make you feel better about CBR.

We have stayed at both the CBR and POR. In fact the last time we went we stayed at the POR. It seems to be a little more quiet there. Also, there are a lot of trees that line the walkways. My kids love the pool at CBR. There are several quiet pools at the CBR as well. The mood at CBR seems more festive and fun. If you want quiet, then go to POR. If you want fun, then go to CBR. You'll enjoy no matter where you stay. The rooms are nice in both resorts and about the same size.
