Heading to the World in April 2015. Party of 5, two adults and 3 7y/o girls. Which hotel do you recommend, or is there a better option than POR or AOA? Hoping to keep the cost around or under $350 a night. Thanks!

We've stayed in both and while we LOVED the theming and pool at AoA, we now call POR home. The pool is amazing, the playground is wonderful for my smaller kids. The food options are yummy and they have a piano player who is a hoot in the bar at nights. Its so quiet and relaxed. Mine is a vote for POR especially with older kids. The pool has a great slide and water features and there are several other 'quiet' pools around the resort too.

Both are great options! If you want a little extra space and amenities, I would go for AoA. The family suites fit up to 6, has 2 bathrooms, and a kitchenette. The pools are also awesome and the grounds are beautiful.

POR is also a nice choice, the boat to DTD is great, and the pool is very nice.

I know the AoA food court is good, but I also hear good things about POR.

Best of Luck!

POR - hands down. AOA is an oversized Motel 6. We had a suite there, and I would not stay there again!

How about All Star Movies??? Will cost less, fewer guests and GREAT theming!!!

We've stayed at POR a few times and it is an amazing resort. We haven't stayed at AoA but have visited there and have stayed at Pop Century a few times as well. To me, AoA felt very much like Pop. Great resort, but can get pretty loud. You're debating between two VERY different resorts, and I think it is going to take you deciding what type of experience you want.

If you want full immersion in the Disney experience, your suite at AoA will give you that, along with the big statues and theming across the resort grounds.

If you want a resort that's more laid back, has a bit of a more upscale feel, then POR is definitely worth a look. The grounds of this resort are beautiful. And even though it's not as kid-like, it is still very, very kid friendly. The pool is beautiful and there's a hot tub. They have a campfire at night where you can roast marshmallows. You can take the boat to DTD. You can take the kids pole fishing.

We had always stayed at the value resorts, but once we stayed at POR we were hooked!
