POR or AKL?

I usually stay POFQ but it's not available for the promotion I have a trip booked with so I booked POR but am thinking of switching to a standard room at AKL. Which one would you chose and why? TIA

If the budget allowed for it I’d choose AKL savanna view. I can only imagine how amazing it would be to sit outside with a coffee in the morning and watch the savanna awake!!

AKL is on my bucket list!!

I like them both for different reasons. But AKL is amazing. Loved it. I had a savannah view and also there are little alcove near hall where I loved to sit with coffee as well cause they piped in music. Read the neat things like about the mask in the Lobby.
If I needed a nice lower tier place, POR is great too, also love Dixie music.
They’re both great, but AKL is a deluxe.

I've stayed at both, and like them both, but AKL is my favorite. And a good number of the standard view rooms have at least partial savannah views. I had a savannah view room once that had a better view of the savannah than the room I'd had previously, which was supposedly savannah view. If you're a fan of seeing the animals at Animal Kingdom, you'll love AKL.

I love both but I would probably pick POR over AKL due to location and budget. I always say budget is not a driving factor for me but in the end, we always go with the deal and end up spending more on other stuff lol.

On a whole, I do love the savanna view rooms and the animals but I don't love the location of AKL. I'd probably only pick AKL if the price was not much more than POR and you were trying to use EEH for deluxe resort guests. Other than that, I'd factor in how much resort time you think you'd have, how long is your trip, that would dictate how much bussing I can withstand. When we do longer trips, we try to stay somewhere where it's not only bus transportation since that can get tiring. But if we have a shorter trip, it's not a big deal to us. I'd also look at which parks you'd be in the most, etc. and reverse engineer it to see if it's a good fit. POR is a great property and imo, the only real drawback of POR is the number of bus stops but it's not a deal breaker for us.

I have beekeeper PORS for the first time but was wondering if you had to pick POFQ or PORS which one you would pick and why?

We’ve stayed at both and have stayed in all the different sections and rooms at POR, I love the theming of both but for us POFQ is so much nicer since it’s a significantly smaller resort with only one bus stop. Being so close to the lobby, bus stop, pool and boat launch is preferable for our family.
