POR Murphy Bed ?

Can you use bed rails on the new murphy bed at POR? I tried looking for this in the POR thread but I never found a definitive answer.

We had originally planned to move our Nov 2012 trip to Jan 2013 because our Disney trip fund was having to be reallocated for a new second vehicle. Well, yesterday we filed our taxes and got more of a refund that expected and got home to find a room PIN in the mailbox. If we go with POR, we can do both! But that murphy bed worries me.

I wonder if you can take the mattress off and put it on the floor?

I've seen the pictures but it looks like the mattress fits into a frame of sorts so that is why I'm wondering if the rail would work. I doubt DH would go for putting the mattress on the floor because he refused to even consider POR when they had the trundle.

This doesn't answer your question, but before our last trip we bought my DS3 a small blue cot and he loved it! It was off the floor but low so if he rolled off it wouldn't have mattered. We ended up putting in btwn the 2 beds at POFQ and there was no way he could roll off b/c it fit in there snuggly. Fold up small enough to fit in your suitcase. You can find them at walmart in the kids area by the strollers and stuff.

It looks to me like a bed rail would fit under that mattress fine.

There is a review from someone over on the Portorleans.org site that stayed in one of these rooms. Maybe check that out and see if you can pm her to see what she says since she just stayed there. For that matter, there is probably someone right here on this board that has stayed in one.
