Hi,
Going down in 38 days and very excited. We are having a Grand Gatherings and requested water views for all but should I ask for a specific mansion to see the water and which is better for busses, food court and mostly busses.

Thanks in advance and sorry if this has been asked before.

I'm interested in this as well. We are staying here for the first time in Sept.

We stayed in the middle one, perfect distance to the little bridge and the bus stop was in front of the mansion. You could walk in a maze at times, but if you ask for the water view, you'll be right in front of the main walk way.
Hope this helps. We also did not ask in advance, the CM just said sure, whatever is available you can have.

Very nice themed resort.
Staying at CSR in Sep this time.

We stayed in Oak Manor and found it quite convienent. It was maybe a five minute walk to the food court, and closer to one of the bus stops. I can't remember if we had a water view or not.

We have stayed in Paterre Place and liked it very much. We used the quiet pool between it and Oak Manor many times and rarely had anyone in the pool with us.

We stayed at Acadian House, the furthest mansion away from the main building. Still, it was just a short walk there when you cut through Ol' Man Island.

We had a waterview room, 8422, that had a great view of the river on one side and a quiet pool on another (I believe it was a corner room on the top floor.) We loved it!

It was close to the North Depot bus stop, and yet removed enough from everything else. Noise was never an issue.

Lush greenery was absolutely everywhere! It was beuatiful.

We have stayed at AB once also, but now we will always stay in the mansions!

Hope this helps! :)

The Magnolia building is right behind the bus stop. It is also next to one of the 24 hour quiet pools and a laundry mat. From what I've read here though, all of the buildings seem to be pretty good.

:thumbsup2 In total agreement! We just got back a couple of weeks ago and stayed in Acadian House, as well. Like Cloudless Nights says: the walk isn't bad at all (and believe me-I had been worried about that. We'd requested AB just to be close to the food court, but didn't get it. Too many families of 5 that week). Also, we were really close to the North depot bus stop. We never had a single problem with the buses being too full once it reached the North depot (another thing I'd been worried about!). I would most definitely request Acadian House again!

Gotta Get To Disney! :moped:

Mangolia or Oak Manor. They are both great

Last time we stayed at POR we booked a water view. We wanted Alligator Bayou but forgot to request it. The CM put us in Magnolia Bend telling us this was a good location. We were skeptical at first but found that is was a very good spot. It was close to the bridge over to Old Man Island and on to the food court and the bus stop was just across the parking lot. Of all the other buildings I wouldn't say there is a "bad" one.
