POR Mansion

Does anyone have pictures of the mansions at POR? I have checked on allears but they only have one listed. We are staying in Dec and want to request a building.

I do not have pictures, but we stayed in Magnolia Terrace and it was a GREAT location. It was close to a bus stop, but also close to the main bus stop, main pool, and food court. Just a short walk across the bridge. There was also a quiet pool very close with laundry. Hope that helps.

How was the landscaping? Was the bus stop directly in front of the building? Did you hear bus noise? I am so excited to stay at POR that we even picked POR over borrowing DVC points.

No, you will not hear any buses. It is about a 1-2 minute walk to the bus stop across the parking lot. Our room was on the ground floor facing a courtyard. The landscaping is beautiful. Here are some pics of the resort. I thought you were looking for pics of the room which I do not have.

Take a look at a map of POR resort and all the buildings are labelled. Some of the mansions might be further than others so I would definitely put your request in by building number so you are not in the boonies..........

We just got back from POR last week and as far as location goes, I would recommend Magnolia Terrace. Close to the bridge by the main pool, quiet pool and laundry are close, close to food court, and bus stop.

Just a warning though, our housekeeping was definitely not up to disney standards, actually, it was borderline awful. We didn't do too much complaining while we were there because 1.) we didn't want to waste any more time during our vacation complaining and 2.) we had to do a lot of fighting to get the location we did in the first place so we really didn't want to lose the room location (we needed connecting rooms for twelve nights close to everything because mom has a bad leg).

But, as far as location goes, Magnolia Terrace was definitely great!

We are staying at Parterre Place in the Mansion section of POR for our honeymoon in January. I've seen pictures of both the exterior and inside the rooms and it is all GORGEOUS. It is said to be the most classy and fancy of all the mansions. It's also about a 1-2 minute walk to the bus stop, a 1 minute walk to the quiet pool, and about a 5 minute walk to the main pool, restaurant, ect...
