POR mansion...which one is it?

I was just looking at the resort photos on this website of POR and the mansions, and there is a beautiful photo of a mansion in the back and leading up to it is a path of black iron awnings with lanterns hanging from them. Do all mansions have this or is it just this one, and if so, which mansion is this? It just took my breath away and I can only imagine how beautiful that must look at night! Does anyone have any night time pics of this or links to it? I was all convinced I wanted to stay in the Alligator Bayou section and this one picture has changed my mind (what a surprise) :rotfl:

Thanks for posting this question. I was curious which building this is too.

Also, do all mansion buildings have the 2 winding staircases that meet at the top?

We requested the mansions for our upcoming Dec. trip and I specified Magnolia Terrace. In case, that's not it, it'll be OK, we'll just take pictures of it.

We always request a king size bed in the Magnolia Mansion. We also ask for the first floor and no smoking (I don't think that is an issue anymore). It is strange the last years they have given us the same exact room. Love it. It feels like going home. Enjoy

Thanks Kimis...can you tell me if Magnolia mansion is the one I'm referring to in the picture? For anyone else browsing this post that's stayed at POR, click on the link above for resorts, click on official Disney resorts, POR, then photos, and you'll see a picture of one of the mansions on the upper left corner. Also bigger photos on page two of the pics. Anyone know what mansion this is, or if all mansions have these beautiful arched pathways leading up to them? THanks for your help as always!

Those pictures are at Magnolia Terrace. All the mansion buildings have slightly different landscaping. The pictures you're referring to are probably taken from a beautiful gazebo that leads to those arches. Parterre Place (another mansion building) has the most beautiful gardens. While Oak Manor has a very nice fountain and lots of greenery.

These are two pics from Parterre Place.

My MIL is standing in the middle of the courtyard w/ the river behind her taking this pic of me and dd.

We stayed in Paterre place in 2004 just after it had been renovated and all the mansion buildings are beautiful. We requested Magnolia Place but got Paterre and was very happy with the location. Easy walk to the main building and bus stop. Right beside the quiet pool it shared with Oak Manor. Really can't go wrong with any of the mansions.

Thanks for the confirmation (and those additional photos!). I am really excited about the mansions, and POR, if I can just get over the fact that we are planning to go the same time as the POP Warner kids, we will be there!

We had requested the mansions as we had stayed in Magnolia terrace last time but when we got there we got put in the AB section. But we got Building 14 with a corner room and a towel animal so it made up for everything, Kids loved it. Although I kept walking in to the bed in the night when I went to the loo and I have some bad bruises on my knee's.

If you are going to be there during POP Warner I would go w/ Parterre Place or Oak Manor b/c they stay in the other buildings. We were there when they were arriving and we really didn't even know they were there. Had we stayed in one of the other buildings we probably would have.

Groovee, I can just picture those bruised knees! Glad your trip was still enjoyable! Mandy, thanks for the post on Pop Warner. I am struggling so much with where to stay since I found out about it and read all the posts. Do they stay entirely away from the mansions? How did you find the pools and food court while you were there?

The foodcourt was fine in opinion we at there one day and we stopped there twice a day to fill our refillable mug. We walked over to the main pool one day but didn't get in it was semi busy but plenty of seats available, we didn't go to any of the quiet pools. The only problem that we had w/ the food court was that they rehab the flooring in sections while we were there but it wasn't an inconvience. Pop Warner stays in Acaidian House and/or Magnolia Terrace and they spend some time at the quiet pool between the two. The building we stayed in was peaceful and a nice walk between the main building and POFQ.

Thanks Mandy. I am trying to feel comfortable with the whole teenager invasion thing, but I remember what I was like when I was a teenager and I've been on trips like that myself :) I guess we'll figure it out as the time approaches!

Overall it was a great trip so I wouldn't worry to much. To be honest w/ you I wasn't even prepared for POP warner to be there b/c I forgot. I was just focused on not being at a value resort while they were there and I liked POR/FQ for the xmas season.
