POR Honeymoon

Well my fiance just made me even happier. Not only do we get to go to WDW but he just added another day to our Deluxe Plan vacation. 6/16-6/22
I just wish it wasn't nearly 4 months away.
Anyone know if POR does anything for honeymooners of if we should mention that we are on our honeymoon at check-in?
Also I know luggage can be held until your room is ready, will they hold it after check-out time. Our flight home isn't until 9pm.

We've stayed at POR many times before joining DVC - you're going to love it. I would definitely let them know ahead of time that you're on your honeymoon. It doesn't guarantee they'll do anything special for you, but it can't hurt. Also, mention it every time you go out to dinner. We've been at WDW on our anniversary and usually have been given free dessert.

Bell services can hold your bags in storage until you're ready to leave. Just call bell services in the morning and tell them you want your bags held and they'll give you a claim ticket.

We stayed at POFQ for our honeymoon and were given a box of chocolates, signed wedding picture of Mickey and Minnie AND a king room with no neighbors for a number of days. We felt like royalty.
When I made the reservations for the honeymoon I told them it was our honeymoon and so they already knew before we got there.

We honeymooned at POFQ in January 1996. I thought it was just perfect. We told them ahead of time that it was our honeymoon. We requested a king size bed. They gave us a great room. It was on a corner, I believe it was the third floor. We had a view of the river and a golf course. I felt like we couldn't have gotten a better room if we had picked it ourselves.

They didn't do any other special things for us but we had a wonderful stay and loved our room.

So, I would definitely tell them ahead of time.

Our reservations are complete. Another surprise - one more day added 6/16-6/23. I am so excited
