We have stayed at POR for our past 3 trips. We love it there. We have always been in room 8020. We have not requested this, it just happens. Has anyone stayed in another handicapped access room closer to the main bldg? We were pretty far away with a view of hte parking lot. The room was beautiful but we would really like to try something new. I love that Disney fells like home but...it is getting a little BORING. Thanks. I would like to try to request a specific location or room next trip (dec 22-30) Thanks so much.

I've stayed in 2 different rooms at POR. I'm not sure of the room numbers but here are the descriptions:

Port Orleans Riverside - first floor of building 14 in Alligator Bayou. 2 double beds and a roll in shower.

Port Orleans Riverside - In the mansion area, I think it was the 3rd floor of the Oak Manor building. 2 double beds and a roll in shower

There is a thread about accessible rooms that's pretty good. It does list some other POR rooms:

I think it was just luck on your part getting the same room twice. Hopefully next time you can get a different room. Maybe request that when you make your reservation because I think special services blocks off your room when you make the reservation.

Thank you for the info. I am going to try to request a different room. The room was nice but I wuld like to be closer to the main bldg so it is not so hard to push DS to the lobby and to the restaurants. Thanks again!

a few years ago we stayed at POR in i think building 15, in an accessible room with two double beds and a roll-in shower. i think it was room 1501, but i'm not 100% sure about the room number. it was on a corner of a building and very close to accessible parking--no trouble at all in june, unlike the difficulty i had finding parking at POP in january. the room was very nice and not too far from the main building/old man island.
