POR Gift shop

Can you get Tylenyol, cough medicines etc. at the resort gift shops? We are staying at POR and just wondering.

Yes you can! There is a small area there over by the refrigerated area that has "health and beauty" aids. You should have no problem finding it. Be prepared to spend a bit more than usual for it, though. If you can bring your own, then I recommend it.

I would bring it from home. You never know if you may need it in the middle of the night when the shop is closed. Been there done that, now I bring everything with me.

We needed some tylenol for my 2 year old on our last day there and I was happy to be able to find it there.

I was just going to say that. Our last trip, a family with a little girl who had a fever was able to get her tylenol after the store closed. I thought that was the nicest thing.

Although they have several meds, the POR and POFQ stores (as well as the other resort stores) only carry a forehead-type thermometer which will indicate a temperature within about 2 to 3 degrees, but that is not accurate enough for me. I recommend you bring a digital thermometer from home in your checked luggage. I found out the hard way, and always pack a thermometer now when I travel.
