POR Carriage Rides?

Mods, if this is not the right board for this question feel free to move it

DH and I have decided we would like to take a carriage ride around POR, we are staying at POFQ. Is this something we should reserve in advance or can we be more spontaneous and arrange one once we get there? I am just not sure how popular they are or how fast they fill up.

On our 6 day stay at POR I only noticed the carriage ride being used once. You could call 407-wdw-tour and ask them, but I'm pretty sure you'll be safe to arrange it once you arrive. I was happy to see it being used so I snapped this pic....it looks like a lovely ride!

DH and I took the carriage ride in Nov. 2005. It was very nice. We had no reservation and were lucky there was an opening. When we were there in
Dec. 2006 there were two carriages giving rides on the nights we saw them. Just FYI - The ride starts at POR and goes down to POFQ and back. It is very, very nice. I would try to book and/or go when it darker out than in the picture above as it is really beautiful riding along the river on the lighted pathway.

Thanks for the input. I think I will call Disney tomorrow to find out their opinion too
