POR Campfire

Will be at POR June 18 for 11 nights. What information does anyone have on the "campfire."

Call POR and check it out. I talked to a girl the other day at POR who said she thought they were going to resume the POR campfires this summer. I'm hoping they do them too since we'll be there in July and this is our first time staying at POR. I've only stayed at GF or Poly but AP codes weren't great for GF and this was a trip that wasn't supposed to happen this year so we're trying out POR. From what I read people really like it there so who knows maybe we'll get hooked. I have a feeling our kids will really like it but I'm afraid we'll all miss the monorail. Hopefully the campfire will resume and give them something new to look forward tol.

We did the campfire at POR in November an enjoyed it. It was a little hokey, but the kids enjoyed participating in the skit and of course the s'mores were great!! (buy a kit for about $5 and there's plenty for an entire family) We would have liked two changes, though...the story that the castmembers read was Courdoroy. Nice story, but I think they could have found something with a Disney theme. And the sing alongs were the same you would sing at a campfire anywhere in the US. We also thought a few of the main Disney songs would have been good for that...but we would do it again if we stayed there. Nice quiet relaxed evening at the resort...
