POR buildings ??

Hi there. please help for those that have stayed at POR ..

which building is most convenient for bus stop / food court and pools, etc..
for AB (as that is the only area that accommodates 5 people ??)

I have heard #14 or #18..
please tell me your choice and why you picked it !

We requested building 16. We thought building 14 would have a lot of foot traffic being so close to the food court and building 18 used to be a smoking optional building so we stayed away from that one. We loved the location of building 16. It was a short walk to the food court, the quiet pool was right outside the building, and there was a shortcut through the parking lot to the main bus stop. Also, where our room was, we had a beautiful view of the landscaping and couldn't see the parking lot at all. Good luck with your choice and have a great trip!

I have stayed in bldg 35, way out in the back, bldg 82 (Magnolia Terrace) and in bldg 14. I liked them all, but I actually prefer the bldgs in AB. Bldg 14 was wonderful...we had a ground level, corner room, facing the back of the food court bldg. Very quick to the food court and the buses. But, not so quick to the main pool area. Bldg 82 was next to a quiet pool, across the river from the food court bldg. We still used the main bus stop though. Cross over Ole Man Island and over to the food court bldg.
Bldg 35 was about an 8 min walk to the food court, 5 mins to the main pool. There was a bus stop pretty close by, about 2-3 mins away, that we used for the most part.
I don't think there is a 'bad' bldg in POR. The grounds are lovely, it's a joy to walk around them. Yes, it is spread out, but there are plenty of bus stops. It can be a pain if you want to head to the food court and bring breakfast back to the room though, unless you are in a closer bldg.
