Does anybody know if a hairdryer, coffee maker, iron, and ironing board are already in your room? Any other info regarding the resort is welcome too! Thanks!

POR here we come 6/30/07!! :cheer2:

Everything that you asked for is in the room including a small fridge. All the coffee supplies are there too. The resort is wonderful!! Beautiful, peaceful & quiet. We just came back from our first stay there in May & we cannot wait to stay there again. We didn't have any negatives at all. Well, maybe that the resort doesn't have a private balcony, but none of the other mods do either. Take advantage of the beauty of the resort-maybe book the horse drawn carriage ride around POR & FQ. It's only $35 & was so nice. The quiet pools are a nice way to unwind. Take a stroll over to FQ to listen to their jazz singer at night. I liked him so much more than the piano player at POR, but that's just music choice! Have a wonderful time at our new favorite resort. p.s. I would try to request AB area. Thought it was cozier than the mansions but try to look at pictures online before you go.:)

Awesome! Thank you! We will have 5 in our room-- so I am under the impression that we should get the AB area because of the trundle bed?? When I received the intinerary from our travel agent it said Magnolia Bend??? Should I call and request the AB side? BTW we also paid for the waterview??

We love the POR. We also requested a water view and was put by a quiet pool. It was a great location and it was so beautiful. I have never stayed at the mansions but the AB side is really nice and with a very tropical feel.

Forget the ironing board -- buy the Downy Wrinkle spray!

With 5 in the room, depending on the suit case sizes, etc. we found it a bit tight to set up the ironing board.

You will love the resort except after a long day -- sometimes the walk from the bus is hard when the kids are dragging

If you have kids (assuming yes with the trundle), be sure to try the Cane catch & release fishing!

If it was me, I would call & try to ask for AB & maybe cancel out on the waterview part? That's entirely up to you, but like I said I hope you don't have your heart set on a riverview room. If not, then maybe keep it. The areas over the pool are lovely too. We were in AB #38 & thought that location was great. Yes, the resort is big-but when you get there it doesn't seem any bigger than other resorts. There are bridges across the river so you don't have to walk all the way around to get to the food court, themed pool...I just can't say enough about the resort. If the price difference isn't that much keep it. Or put that money toward renting a boat or doing the carriage ride. By the way, make sure you take the ferry to DTD. Even if you get off & get right back on, it's a nice way to relax & see the sights.

I just stayed at POR for the first time last month and I loved the resort. It's beautiful :sunny:

Here's a link to my web page with pictures and comments, including pictures of the closet/changing area with iron and ironing board, and a picture of the coffee maker/fridge:

Super pictures seaspray - we leave from england on thursday for 15 nights at POR and cant wait, your pics have got us even more excited :cool1:

SeaSpray--Just wanted to say that your POR pictures are beautiful. We have decided to stay there the first part of our trip. We did have Doubletree Suites for the first half(with points--so basically free) but decided to bank them and stay at POR. We just can't bear to stay off site-even though Doubletree was at DTD it just doesn't seem the same. Your pictures have me really excited. We have stayed there before but you forget how nice it really is. We are only 10 days away----I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!:yay:

OMG- Thank you all so much for your responses! Now we are REALLY excited! The info is great and the pic's are amazing! Thank you again!
I can't believe we will be there on Saturday! :woohoo:

I'm glad you enjoyed my pictures! :3dglasses

Have a great time, everyone!! I know you'll love POR. :sunny:
