I am so excited ... I just booked our first trip ever!! POR September 14-24th at POR with the free dining plan!

.... now I just have to watch for cheap flights - probably out of Syracuse. NY

We also booked POR with FD for next summer.

Not sure if we are going to fly or drive from TO.

Congrats on the trip! We love, love POR! Make sure to check out Piano Bob who plays select nights at the resort. It is nice to take a walk in the morning to French Quarter and have some beignets for breakfast. There is also the nice boat ride to DTD. Like I said we love, love this resort! Enjoy your vacation.

Congrats! I've heard lots of good reviews for POR. I have a hold on POFQ and just need to make up my mind since I can't decide on which moderate resort to book. We will do the Free Dining as well.

You will have a great time and really enjoy POR! We went for the first time last February for our "trip of a lifetime." Well, we had such a good holiday that we came home and immediately started to save for next year. It is all in the motivation... "Would you rather go to a dinner and movie or would you rather have another night at Disney?" Disney wins every time. So next February will see us back at POR again.

Yeah unfortunately its the same for Winnipeg. I'm wondering if it makes more sense to drive to ND and fly out of there instead. All the flights from Winnipeg are with connections so higher cost!

I have heard that there is a charter going out of Winnipeg this winter. You may want to ask around at a few travel agents to find out more.

I also heard that Allegiant Air has some decent prices flying out of Grand Forks ND but they fly into Sanford Airport not MCO. I agee the prices out of Winnipeg aren't great at all.

We stayed there in 2008 and I loved the buildings, the landscaping, the rooms, the pool, the whole "vibe" of the resort was so peaceful and relaxing...almost romantic! The food court was very good and so was Boatwrights. The boat to DTD is a lovely little excursion. Enjoy!
