POR--Absolutely Beautiful

We got back yesterday from a weeks's stay at POR--it was beautiful . The garden areas were blooming & colorful. The wildlife(ducks, herons, egrets, loons, bunnies & lizards) were amazing to watch! Everything is crisp & clean. The foodcourt was good--at little crowded at any time of day! Our room in Acadian House was quiet & peaceful. I'm actually amazed at that a resort that big was that quiet--all the time . The pool was nice & not too overcrowded. The smaller pools were nice too. I will definetely stay there again!! When we checked in, we were allowed to go right to our room & we checked in at around 1:30 pm . We recieved 3 towel animals during our stay---one puppy and 2 bunnies . My DH & I celebrated our anniversary we were given buttons to wear & everywhere we went CMs greeted us--we even got a heart of confetti at our lunch table at Liberty Tree Tavern on Sunday.

I agree with you 100%. We stayed at POR AB section in 2005 and loved it. It was a great place to come back to after the craziness of the parks So relaxing and peaceful. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

I agree! POR is my second favorite resort, next to WL. I've been staying there since it was still Dixie Landings! Absolutely beautiful!

We leave on Thursday from Texas and we are staying at POR for the first time. We will not arrive until Sunday July 1, 2007 because we will be traveling via a motorcycle. I am so glad for all of the positive remarks about this resort. Happy Anniversary and I am so glad that you had a wonderful trip!!!

Our family loves this place. We have visted many of the other resorts but we all agree POR is the place for us.

We love POR as well. We were there in January '07 and truly enjoyed our stay. It was great walking around the paths in the morning as well as in the evening. I'd have to say it is our favorite Disney Resort thus far, beating SSR hands down in my opinion and edging out WL, again just my opinion.

POR is quiet, beautiful and relaxing!

POR is our favorite hands down. Other than POR we've only stayed at POFQ but have visited others. We just love the peacefulness. It was almost like we had the resort to ourselves. We didn't see or hear anyone else in our building at all. Love Love Love it!!

I agree with Flyerfan, it is like you have the place to yourself. We were by a quiet pool and it was a perfect location. We felt like we had a personal pool of our own.

Count me in as another Huge POR fan! We stayed there for a week in Late Aug / Early Sep 2005 (same time as Katrina was in the gulf and making landfall in Louisiana) and as everyone else has said - so lush, relaxing, quiet and peaceful.

We're trying CSR this year after staying at AKL last year - but I'm wanting another stay at POR for next year!

We were there in December 06 and the lobby was decorated so wonderfully for Christmas. The rooms were very nice/clean. The resort is sooo big. I didn't know anything about POR before we stayed there. It was a looong walk to the food court for the drink refills, but all of the food we had there was great. Lots of fun to catch the boat to downtown disney also. Nice pools, everything super quiet. Going to POP in August. Hope we are as happy with it (from the kids perspective) as we were POR. POR was the first time we stayed on site. Cant wait til August!!

I agree. DF and I went to POR in September and loved it. It's our favorite resort. Glad to hear there is another fan.
