Popular things you just don't get..

you know when people rave about stuff that you have never got into or understood or liked, (a bit like disney for others I guess), I found this with my sister talking about the twilight books and films how good looking some actor out the film is. Everyone seems to go on about it, thought it be fun to think up some others...

I came up with apart from Twilight..
Harry Potter..
Dan Brown books, bad writing puts me off.
Wii
Brad pitt
Dirty Dancing, seen it however don't love it like others do..
Pop music, I went to a party on new years day & didn't know any of the songs,
Desperate housewife's, Though I did try to get into it..
beach holidays
The next sale

Anyone else got any?..

Big Brother (ordinary or celeb)
X Factor
Britain's Got Talent
I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here
Dancing on Ice

or any other televised talent show.

Add on to that Corrie, Eastenders and Emmerdale and you can see why they think I'm a freak.
Add on to that the fact that I have a Disney obsession - I'm a lost cause.

"Cloud computing" - what's wrong with installing programs on the computer where I can get at them from anywhere, not just anywhere I have an internet connection.

Snap, I have no interest in them whatsoever. Everyone keeps inviting me to join but can't be bothered with it all. When I hear some of the hassles people have involving Facebook, etc, glad I am still in the dark ages.

Sky News, why do we keep getting the same stories over and over again for days on end.

Like someone else said Brad Pitt and I'll add on Tom Cruise and George Clooney, just don't see the attraction at all.

I don't get these either ~ I started my FB to keep in touch with my niece when she was in Australia and very occasionally make a half-hearted attempt to update it but just don't understand how people find the time or energy to constantly detail every minute of their day!!

And as for twitter ~ I am at a total loss with that. My eldest DD was getting so obsessed that I banned her from going near it for a whole week!

I really don't get twitter either, its fun to stalk some celebrities occasionally, but I'm not really interested in everybody elses day to day lives (no offence but its not that interesting!).

Mine are:
Harry Potter
Britains Got Talent/Strictly Come Dancing
Cycling and running (I cant think of anything worse!)
Soaps (bar Hollyoaks but I am probably getting to old for that now haha!)
Driving (I hate driving, I have never got how people find it fun, I get more concerned I am going to knock someone over!)

The TV programme - I don't know the characters' names, but it's got Liz Smith in it (who I adore in other things.)

ETA - although the Queen etc., are getting less important to me as I get older. As for Prince Charles ... don't get me started!!

And I'll probably get flamed/shot for saying this but I don't understand the whole 'Disney Magic' thing. It's a lovely place and, don't get me wrong, I'm as obsessive about my Disney holidays as the next person but I really don't understand the whole 'magic' thing

I think I know what you mean. I don't get MK being magical, I love being there however it looks artifical and plastic to me. I have also never had the urge to do CRT even with having a girl.

I don't MSN, and I did try with twitter I never really got into it though.

Also having the latest phone, my brother & sister have gone through about 5 phones in the time I have had 1.

Also getting married, I wish people would stop asking me why I am not getting married.
