Popular Restaurants Showing No Availability even 180 days out

Are you trying online or did you call WDW-Dine? I've had luck calling when I could not book what I wanted online.

What if your group had wanted to split up and not do the same ADR? We will have at least twice that myself and one of my kids will do one meal and the husband and the other kid will do another. Like the party night - my daughter is too young we think, so it will just be my son and I. My husband and daughter will eat somewhere else. Though for them likely it will be CS, but I could see that happening for a family.

I did this for our November trip. We have a group of eight, but I couldn't find a reservation for a particular restaurant. I split our group into two groups of four. We have two reservations at the exact same time (in our case, same restaurant). I did put the second reservation under my sister's name (she is on our trip), but I was able to book both reservations through my own MDE. And they both show up under my MDE.

We cant even find ANY openings for Sci Fi..... at 180 days out.
I can't get that one either. We are going the week after Thanksgiving and I've noticed that most of the things open now are the same things that are routinely open even just a few months out.

You can actually book a restaurant 1 hour and 5 minutes apart. And I think having to book reservations so far in advance is annoying since most of my trips are last minute so I usually have to stalk to find what I want. I find the best time to get something hard is at 2am on a weekday.

Very annoying that you can't get what you want at the 180 day mark..... been getting tougher and tougher to get

Oh I was just thinking about the days where you could go up to a monitor with a CM waiting, and say I want a reservation for such and such at 6 pm that same day, and there it was. Those days never to return :sad2: Please excuse me as I wax nostalgic :teleport:

I can't find what I want for 11/15. Not sure about that entire week but it's frustrating

I've never planned any trip half a year out. Ever. I can always get into great places (other than Bluezoo I don't HAVE to eat anywhere in particular) with a few weeks notice. It does take some time fussing around on the app/site, but things will open up if you're on the lookout. I've gotten same day/day or so of at FF, CG, MP, etc. You'll get in! Don't worry!

This is us--life/jobs make it difficult to plan more than about three months out. Lol thought we were the only ones like that pixiedust:

I don't want city I'll be living in, more or less when I'll want a little WDW getaway. Lol.

But not everyone has a job where they can be checking for openings all day long for months a time a time. So it is frustrating.

I had an interesting situation this morning. I was looking for something at AKL one evening, preferably Jiko, so that's where I checked first, on the DME app, where I've done previous reservations. Nothing at Jiko, about 5 months out? I don't know what possessed me to try again, and all I did was change the filter from the resort to "African cuisine". Voila! Now, Jiko showed up with a choice of times. Lesson learned-try all kinds of combinations or different filters or lack of filters. Disney reservations are sometimes strange.

I've had a similar experience with switching from "dinner" to the specific time I want. I don't get it at all!!
