Anyone here subscribe? I just got an offer from them, $7 (plus $3 s&h) for a 1 year subscription.

Sounds like a good deal to me. Does it have plenty of articles on digital photography?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I get that one and shutterbug. I have enjoyed it, and there are usually a couple of different articles about different things to do in PP that are interesting, they also have reviews of different cameras and lenses.

I say well worth the 10bucks myself.

That's all I need to hear!!! I'm sure I will enjoy the magazine. If not, I am only out $10. But I don't think that is going to happen.

I get PopPhoto and Outdoor Photo, both of these magazines are wonderful. I also subscribe to Rangefinder which is free. More of an advanced mag, but very good, and not a lot of ads at the end.

I get PopPhoto too. You're getting a better deal than I did. I subscribed through their web site but a month into the subscription they sent me a letter offering me a second year for $5. :thumbsup2

I look forward to the magazine every month and I read it cover to cover. It has a good mix of beginner and advanced techniques. A lot of the tips in the "How to shoot fireworks" thread were in an article in this month's issue. Just in time for the fourth!

I usually find at least one article an issue I am glad I read. I also love looking at the reader submitted photos.

a little ot but there were 2 magazines, i think from the uk, someone recommended ..one might have had "light" in the title. anyone know the names?

I remember that thread and wrote down 3:

Digital Camera
Practical Photography
Digital Photo Pro

I haven't looked at any of them yet. It was just on my list to do "someday" - whenever that is!

thanks and i can see as usual i had no memory of the "real" names since nothing remotely like light in any of them:rolleyes: :)

Ok, this thread I am spending money on magazines. On another thread that I only read and not actually posted to, I have decided to get the following for my S3

lens adapter
wide angle lense
a few filters

Anyone have any ideas on how to actually SAVE money:confused3 :rotfl2:?!?!

Yep, you go down to the bank and put it in something that doesn't allow you to touch it... of course, then you don't get to enjoy it either.
