Can you tell that I'm obsessed with making sure to do my part to keep this swap moving along successfully? I'm on a couple of threads organizing meets during my trip. And, when you posted that there might be an opening, I just popped over to those threads to see if anyone had dates that met the criteria. Viola! Glad to hear that she might be interested in filling our gap

I think it was a really good idea to put specific requirements down in writing for this last minute substitution so there can't be any misunderstandings. I've already made arrangements with the swapper before me and I've exchanged PMs with the swapper currently slated to get the fridge after me.

No coupons yet but those things can take a couple weeks because they generally go through a clearing house.

BTW - have you heard from rumrunnergirl? Do we know if the fridge made it safely through two days of storage and into her hands? I kept checking yesterday because I was really worried about getting through this last storage stint before my turn comes. It's selfish, I know - but I want that bigger fridge

I figure with so many people wanting the time period that we may now have open I could make stricter rules! Best way to keep things going.

I haven't heard anything from rumrunnergirl and I figure no news is good news-right? Here's some more to grant my wish of seeing the bigger fridge in just 3 weeks!

EDITED-I just noticed that rumrunnergirl is not leaving POP until the 16th. So just a few more days and we should hear from her. Again, no news is good news and I haven't heard anything negative from either rumrunnergirl or just2girls1.

Actually, it's 2 years ago Sept. that I started this. Who knew? If you know your dates (approx. is ok) I'll put you down. It couldn't hurt.

Even when ours goes missing one of my swappers manages to get another one to use, so who knows, maybe it'll still be here in July 09.

I just sent you a PM. Contact families by PMs as well. And yes we will have a coffee maker (Senseo) and a toaster (assuming it makes it until then.)

Hey all! We got back the night of the 16th and with tropical storm/hurricane Fay headed our way and school starting today - it's been hectic!

When I went to luggage services on 8/10, there was no fridge with my name, so the CM took me back to the fridge section and I found one with the name of the swapper after me, so I took that as I thought it was our fridge and the person before me forgot to put my name on the box since I filled in a gap.

However, when Just2girls1 picked it up from me, she said she was in two fridge swaps, so it must have been the fridge from her 2nd swap. It was a smaller fridge, in a box, with a toaster inside. I think I saw it pictured in another swap here. The second fridge Just2girls1 got was a larger fridge, in a box, with some polka dot wrapping paper on it (I saw that one also on 8/10). I don't know if it had her name on it.

OK - I just checked the the thread for the other swap that Just2girls1 is in. It's called ORIGINAL (MyGoofy26) POP fridge SWAP. There is a picture of the box that the fridge was in. Rumrunnergirl, is this what the box you picked up looked like?

Yes.

In luggage services they have all these shelves of luggage and stuff, and in the back on the left are all the fridges on a top shelf - big and little. I think every fridge I saw was in a box.

This is exactly what I've been afraid of. Once it goes into luggage services, for any length of time, it goes MIA. Then add to the mix that just2girls1 was in 2 swaps, and that just complicates things even more. Everytime we have a swapper in 2 swaps I'm always worried something like this may happen.

rumrunnergirl, thanks for all the info. One thing that may have helped you find the right fridge was the info I got after you left. Our bigger fridge WAS in a box. I finally got the answer and posted it on 8/9 about 6:42 p.m. but I think it was too late for you to get the info. If you still have the personal info for rvikes1 could you PM it to me? I sent him (and mellgonzales) PMs asking how things went but never heard back. I would like to find out exactly what rvikes1 left for you. I deleted his PMs when cleaning up my inbox to keep it below 120. TIA

To all swappers, as per the FAQ I would really appreciate it if you could drop me a quick PM or reply on this thread when you get back and let me know how things went. I don't expect you to contact me the minute you return but if you could let me know hopefully while the next swapper is there, it would be great. That way when things go awry hopefully we can correct it soon. (rumrunner this isn't directed at you-you contacted me in a timely manner ).

I'm going to send a PM to lynndeeloonurse and let her know of the situation. At this point it looks like we won't have a fridge unless someone can get POP to give us another one. I hope the one is still there for rumrunnergirl1 but since it was due to be picked up 8/10 (9 days ago) it's probably already been given out to another swap.


Maybe another swap has it and will return it to us? I know someone was going to add my name and info to the box so it should still be there.

So, who wants to make some calls to POP to track it down? The more the merrier!

DisneyDeeva I tried to call you at both your numbers but didn't reach you. What's a good time to call you? Home or cel? It's just after 9 a.m. here and I'll be home until 11:30 ish. Then I'll be helping out at my DD8's school. I'll be back home about 3:00 pst. I'll check the boards before I leave for lunch and then after I get home from school. Maybe between the 2 of us we can work this out.

awwwww this is so sad. I hope someone finds it. I really needed it . I ordered so many grocery's from garden grocer and there going to go bad with out one now.

In the past we have always gotten a fridge even if we end up skipping one, or two swappers. So we should get a replacement from POP, but I am still hoping to get the larger one.

I've sent new PMs to rvikes1, mellgonzales, and lynndeeloonurse and hopefully I'll have some more info to help track it down.

Getting a replacement, at this point, is going to depend on lynndeeloonurse. I'm hoping she can get one. Or maybe just2girls1 can straighten it out before she leaves.

Any volunteers to make calls?

I don't have any info from rvikes1 (Tom). I gave him my info so he could put it on the box. When I PM'd him that info, I asked him if I needed any info from him, and got no reply. I will double check my PM's and let you know if he gave me any info, but I'm 99% sure he didn't.

The boxes I saw when I was there were the Nemo swap box, the polka dot paper box, the box I got (from the Goofy swap), a car seat box, and another box with a toaster and coffee maker sitting on top (and I know we didn't have those yet, so that wasn't my box).
