Hi all,
just got back,i am heavy 2 pints of ben and jerrys choclate fudge brownie,there in the frezzer right now.Anyway,believe it or not i got a costume and so did dw, me and dw got army pants(Camoflage) and green shirts that say army,also we got face make up(green and black)dw got the matching hat,i did not like the way it fit me and ds got a army outfit too.

I still have my beret and my camo cap from when I was in the Guard. You're welcome to try them to complete the ensemble.

I"m almost ready to go....laminated 100 LGMHPC's yesterday....doing my adr card today.....

And I felt bad for taking 9!

Afternoon everyone! I got busy yesterday and didn't check after 11am...looks like I have about 20 pages to catch up on! YIKES! We'll hit 200 pages before too long!

DH's hip has been hurting him really badly...like he can hardly walk. We went to the doctor two weeks ago, he essentially patted Steve on the head, gave him some prescription-strength Alieve, and sent us on our way. Said to come back if it's still hurting. Well, Steve went back yesterday, since we leave in less than two weeks...doctor actually LOOKED this time, and determined Steve has some sort of perpetual stress injury from his time in the Navy, and gave him some super-duper pain pills to get him through vacation...but the good news is he also prescribed some physical therapy (which DH is going to today) to learn some stretches and things that he can start doing which will help with the pain management without taking meds! I'm all about not taking meds, so I'm happy the doctor finally did something more than give out more pills.

Oh, and my crocs came in today -- can't wait to get home to see them! And the final ribbon roses for my dress came in yesterday, so we're all set. Just need to pack the costume box and mail it down on Friday! DH swears he'll get the luggage down tonight, if his hip isn't hurting, so then I can start packing. My goal is to be totally packed by the end of the weekend. We'll see....

Ok, off to catch up!

well now I'm bummed too. I called to confirm our requests which were preferred, non-smoking, non-poolside. They had poolside. We're light sleepers. she said shw would note it but it's not guaranteed. oh well!

Well for heavens sake! Wonder if they could just switch us. Hopefully they will get that info all together since we both called today, and see that we want each other's rooms. The only other prob for us is that we need 2 rooms, preferrably beside each other. Soooo... since you're one person that WANTS to be moved, all they have to do now is tick off one other family by giving us their poolside room. If you end up with unhappy neighbours, please don't blame me!

I was thinking the same thing---you two should switch.

Job interview went well. Pay sucked. It'd be a 10K a year paycut, essentially cutting my pay in half, but I"d get 5 more sick days! However, it is only a 9 month position. I don't know. I didn't know my $9 an hour job was so cushy.

Ok, I looked for some info on this. Seems as though it is done daily at the MK around 5pm in Town Square. Apparently they play the Star Spangled Banner and lower the flag and it is about 15 minutes long. I read where a lot of people were not impressed, but for us, I think it would be especially touching!

My DH will also be checking out the Orlando branch of the company he works for here!!! he's friends with the head honcho and he asked DH to come in with the fam! so we will just be checking it out...but if it led to soemthing else............


Oh and of course it's also the night of the BIG laundry meet!!!

Wow, a gal goes away for a few hours and BAM I have many messages to go through. But that's ok!!
As far as the Dirty Dancing convo goes... count me in as a fan. My friends and I used to watch it and immitate the dances. Well not the dirty dirty ones because at that time, I didn't want to be THAT close to a boy! Man, have times changed!
I can't believe how soon our trips are! YIPPE!
One week from today I will be starting to finalize my list of things to take.
Two weeks from today, we will be at the MK!!!!
Three weeks from today I will be home and sad

Actually I am THRILLED we are getting some responses. We are doing a quick meet at MGM on the 1st around 5:45 near the ToT. Not all the way up to the que line, but close to it. Michelle said this would be a great photo op and it is pretty close to where we have to go fro Fantasmic! I was thinking about meeting up, saying hello and getting a group picture taken! I really hope you can join us!

I witnessed this. It is very understated. There is no announcement, it just happens. I was always taught to stand at attention or place your hand over your heart when the flag was being raised or lowered. Apparantly less than half a percent of other people were taught the same. Nobody stops...they just look and keep walking.

Here's a picture of the flag retreat. I don't remember what year I took this pic. Sorry it's a little dark, I took a pic of the pic so I wouldn't have to hook up the scanner. The day we were there they chose a military family to assist with the folding of the flag and they also released doves. ( I don't think they release the doves any more.) I didn't resize the pic because if you do you can't see what's going on. But if you look closely you can see the marching band.
