So, have you eaten at the Brown Derby? Is it worth 2 TS credits? We did Mama's last time and not sure about H&V. But I want the Fantasmic package.

I have eaten at BD and dont understand the 2 credit thing for it!!! Its good - but 2 credits-good?? I dont feel it is. Im doing Mama's with the package.... we really liked it last time.

And ummmm - if they dont do free dining and you go back, Im also planning a January/February trip.

Ok - I looked and Frontier has Frequent Flyer seats available for Sept dates.

I just need to see if we can afford to go both in Sept and Feb

OH HUSH!!!!!!!! That was HORRIBLE! They should not even advertise it as a "dude" experience. Unless it is a way to teach young boys who to be secure with their manliness! I think we will try the Barber Shop @ MK!

Are you and Austin morning or night people? Ry and I are night owls. We stay out late and wake up late.
Do you know the price difference between having 2 and 4 people to a room?

Wait - is 1200 WITH OUT dining?

No price difference to the room....BTW.

I went ahead and called and added the 12th to my room reservation. So on Thursday I will just need to call and (HOPEFULLY) apply free dining, then cancel my 'room only' for the 12th!!!

If not.... I will need to take that extra day off my reservation and stick with my 'room only'

We tried MM last tiem and I really liked it. But I feel like I need some 2 TS places to use all the credits. I am also thinking about doing to Luau. Which I was totally against, but we did HDD last time, so this would be different. The food they serve isn't really Hawaiian though. I also want to do Biergarten and Crystal Palace. Never been to CP, but Ryan likes Pooh, so I thought that would be good for him. Now I am stumped. I don't want to do a lot of resort places because of the traveling. I have want to get these booked soon though!

Ohhh.... Coffee AND Baileys! Cat you and I would have TOO much fun together if we lived close!

Yeah. It was about the same last year. Seems right. 8 nights at 90 bucks is over 700 alone. Then 500 for tickets. 9 day hoppers. And I pay for Ryan to be an adult so he can have better menu choices.

I am glad you have it all figured out Cat. That's why I go through a TA!

We are total night owls too. On a normal night I swear I don't even go to bed until 11-12 !

It drives my best friend nuts when we travel because she is in bed by 8-9 . I have to lay there with my laptop in the hotel while she sleeps. Again ..... I'm not even sure how we got to be best friends.

How old is Ryan again ? I had thought he and Austin were about the same age. Austin will be 10 on Aug 1st.

Oh yeah -
I don't think there is a price diffrence in the room price for 2 adults and 2 kids. Just add on the price of the tickets ... I think the only time you are charged more if for a 3rd adult if I'm not mistaken ...

Well I read about this thing where boys could go get their hair all punked out and stuff and it was called "Cool Dude.' So I booked it. It said it was in the BBB at DTD but I thought it would have a separate room or something. So we get there and check in. And we wait and wait and wait. Like over an hour wait. We see Lori at this point and she thinks it's funny we are camped out on the floor waiting for this darned thing. We eneded up missing our ADR because we were there for so long. So we finally get in and we are SURROUNDED by girls and princess crapola. Ryan sits down and they start on his hair. She teases it and gels it and colors it and by the time he was done he looked like a rat's nest. I started crying because I was embarassed for him to walk around in public. So the manager comes over (now mind you we are like 2 hours into this thing) and she says they will wash him out and redo it. The washing took forever because the check put so much gunk in his hair. Then they do it over and it is ok, but not wonderful. We were STARVING so we ran over to Earl and grabbed a bite then went to MNSSHP. It was BAD BAD BAD!!!!!!!!!!!

Ryan is 9 and will be 10 in December. If we split a room that would knock my cost down by a bunch! Let me talk it over with Ryan and see if he's cool with that. I'll tell him we will go to a water park AND MNSSHP if we can share a room. Then I will need to let my TA know I need to add 2 more to the ressie.

You know, I cant even believe they would OFFER something like this, and not make it 'cooler'. And Ive cried before, for my boys - because THEY were so looking forward to something and it just turned out WRONG!!!


The dining and sharing the room. I think your only thing that has to be thought about is this.... you have to both be staying the same length of time, you have to both have the same tickets ...other than THAT, unless they insisted you have everyone there at check in, I dont see a problem.

The ticket thing is what kept me from booking with my g/f....Im getting AP's and only bought one day passes.

I bet it would save us a bunch of money ! The way they used to do it all the dining was pooled and you used it how you needed it. There was a few times our family didn't eat together so it shouldn't be a problem.

If we decided to our own thing during the day, the boys would have a pool buddy at night back at the hotel and we would have a poolside drink buddy.

How fun would that be !!

Yes - pooled and my son (15 y/o) never ate with us. He used most all his credits on POP Chicken Strips. Teenagers.....

As long as you trust the other person doesnt go on some sort of dining credit spending frenzy...you'll be fine. Just keep track!
