Oh boy! I would have just had the kids lay with me, so then at least I could sleep too!!!

Nothing much happening here. Laundry is in. Dishwasher is running. I could vacuum I guess.

I have lunch with friends at about 11:45. We do it every week (during school) and it is really alot of fun to just talk talk talk. Then DD gets out early b/c it is wednesday. And my dad wants to have dinner at a local restaurant. Chicken night. That is what you get when you live in a very small (but quaint) town. Chicken nights.

I freaked out this morning. Jul and I were in the garage ready to leave for school and I saw what looked like a shadow move. Then I looked again and I think it was a MOUSE in the garage. We sometimes get them in the shed but DH puts poison out and that takes care of it. But never before in the garage. And since our house is of course attached to the garage, I wanted to freak out. I did not say anything b/c I didn't want to startle Jul. After I dropped her off I called DH and told him. It just makes me a little mad b/c since I am the one at home, then I get to deal with all these issues.

Truly, I keep our house spotless. I am a clean freak and an organizational freak. I even label. Sick huh? BUT the garage is DHs. Soooooo, there are all of his tools and what-not just kind of "there". Tons of places for a mouse to hide, and so excellent place for mice to live. I really want him to get all of his stuff just off the floor to prevent things like this. He told me "you cannot prevent it". But I think you can give it the best you've got at least! He also says, "there is nothing for them to eat in the garage". And I said "there is in the house, which is attached!" plus, it is freezing cold and the garage gives them somewhere warm to go. AAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGG!

So, I went to the hardware store. Which is exactly what you would picture for a small town. The sweet man sold me glue traps and I set them out there. We'll see. But I have to go out there about 6 more times before DH comes home and I don't want to!!! Paranoia!

Anyone own a carpet steamer/cleaner/shampooer? and if so what brand and do you like it?? we need to buy one and we are thinking of the BIssel. or something like that !hahah!

:faint: :faint:

i would have DIED! DIED! dIED! OMG i can't handle mice or rodents or even cats! hahaah!! i'm a big freak like that!

I have a hoover deep cleaner. But I didn't buy it and it is at least 8 years old. I do use it often enough. Probably a couple of times a year. I love how good the floors look after.

I don't know what kind I would pick. I am always wondering about consumer reports and such.

I do need to buy a new vacuum though. Mine is getting up there in age and I just think it is time. The last time I looked, I wasn't crazy for any of the ones I saw. I would love to get a dyson, but I don't know if I want to spend that much. I would need one heck of a guarantee that I would like it.

My sister's vacuum is one her DH has had FOREVER. It is one that takes bags. She cannot even find the bags anymore except to special order. She doesn't even know the joy of a bagless. But her DH loves it (why, I don't know).

hahah! thanks for the info! with these kids we are in deperate need of a cleaner, we had the rugs done while in WDW last year and we usually do it twice a year, BUT it just adds up, so we may as well be putting that money into our own cleaner!

Ughh we hate our bagless! DH has Asthma and it is worse with the bagless than for him. Even if i am emptying the canister and he is around, the dust in the air gets to him. Ours is on its last leg anyways and we were looking at getting a new one too!

I know, cats are okay (just not here ) but mice and spiders I am not even cutesy-nice about. I just want them dead

hahha!!! yup! i could pretty much list every pet and find a reason not to get one! i am just not a snuggly person! hahah!!

I am so excited for disney on ice. It isn't until the 28th, but still. It is in Rosemont, but I kind of like the drive up towards Chicago. And I just love the shows. We have not seen this one before though, Princess Wishes. :goodvibes

Good Morning!

Sometimes right before we leave, I get this weird not-excited feeling. I think it is just b/c it is so close. Maybe it is a brain self-preservation mode in order to keep from overloading!!! This last trip though, I was over the moon. Why is it that the more you go, the more you want to go? You would think it would satisfy your desire, but it just makes it worse!! But, hey, I can deal with that. :)

I am the same way! Right before a trip, I won't be really excited, then about a day or two before the trip I get excited again.

mrFDNY- I would have freaked out! I'm glad it wans't anything worse and just the battery.

jmom- I hope you catch the mouse! The only mice I like is Mickey and Minnie!

DMM- Your DH is such a sweetie to make a board for you!
