What are you all getting the men in your lives for the holidays?????

I have NO clue. He made me a list of books and stuff. But his packing space is limited. So I might buy everything and let him open it on X-Mas but then mail it out to him little by little. I am trying to think of stuff he can easily take with him. I found water proof playing cards. Regular and Uno cards. Maybe a reading light that clips on to his books. Stuff like that. This is hard for me this year, but I will find stuff, I always do!

quick drive by...

I had some of my tictacs while reading my magazines and books on dinner break while sitting on a hitting pad at the physical therapy room I think everybody was envious of what I have :yes: my one hour of agony at the torture chamber was very pleasant for a change thanks to all of you! Ok... boss is in mode so I better go.. will be back later when I get home!

PS: Appointment was so..so.. since this is the 1st ultrasound result and I had express all my future plans we have decided to wait for another 3 months another ultra sound and if doesnt get any bigger we will not operate and wait till further notice. For now she put it hold!!!!

Well maying putting it on hold is a good sign! I think if it was something terribly serious something would be done about it right away! I am glad we could help you pass the time!

I hope everyone had a great turkey day! So remember that great 9 month training program i was telling you about that i'm trying to in march, well the nyc post ran a story about it. Here it is, if you are interested. For some reason the newspaper list's it as a 3 week program which it's not,its a 9 month class.

Well isn't that fancy! I am still wishing you good luck!

As a side note I am FREEZING! It got down to 27 here last night which is COLD for us. It is only 40 something right now. We do not have central heat, rather heat that is controled in each room. It sucks because I am never in one room long enught to benefit and it is too expensive to run every room all day. So I am walking around the house like I am in the Arctic. I hate it!

Cat - Do not beat yourself up over this. In all honesty he brought this on himself. And he is really at an age where he should start to understand every action has a reaction. Does it suck that he can't go and he has been looking forwad to it forever? Of course it does. But how many times in life have YOU been disappointed. As parents we want to always do right by our kids and give them all we can, but it doesn't always work out perfectly. And I know all teenagers go through this phase, but there is still no excuse for him disrespecting you. YOU are his Mom! And above all he should treat you with love and respect. He will eventually get over it. And I do think that if he will not listen to you when you speak that you write him a letter and give it to him. He can read it on his own terms and does not have to "face" you.
Everything will be ok.... and maybe it is an important lesson learned for him. I believe he will eventually learn you attract more flys with honey than vinegar.

Hiya everyone! just checking in!!!

As far as what i'm getting the men in my lif-*e <---(gabriel sitting in my lap is making this impossible to type out!!) (Men: DH and my DF(ather) ).i was hoping to snag i deas from you all!!

I know i am getting DH a bunch of Pajama bottoms and then 2 books he wanted, but i don't know what else!!

DH wants to get my father a radar detector since my father just got a new car and he likes to drive fast and we live about 1hr from him!! we'll see!

I used to have a group of girls I'd meet from an AOL Disney board - years and years ago. I wonder what happened to them....

I'm up for a meet - maybe after the holidays would be better though. I wouldnt mind going out to Woodfield, after X-Mas.... Cheesecake Factory, perhaps??? Mmmmm!!!

And I wanna go to a few stores out there.....

Okay, Autumn just had a tummy problem and Gabriel has some kind of viral thing with his eye...blahh!! so eye drops for him ( I SWEAR i am just wasting half of them with all his squirming!!) and just regular old Tylenol for Autumn i feel like I always over react, but the Dr. doesn't make me feel like an idiot DH took the morning off to go with me and then his boss called him and told him to take the day off!! (DH has never missed a Drs appt, or even an OB appt of mine with Gabriel, so he feels like it's his duty or something! haha!! )

How about this huge storm we're supposed to get??? Anyone thinking we may end up with nothing?!?! hahah!! now watch i will get snowed in!!

Chicago DIS Meet - Culvers in Gurnee, Dec 17*

Ok, the majority of the votes seem to favor December 17th for the meet!

So, our Culvers/Gurnee Mills meet will be on Sunday, December 17th. We will meet at the Culvers in Gurnee, which is east of 94 on the north side of Grand Ave (just about across from Six Flags). Their address is 1505 Nations Drive. According to their calendar online, the Flavor of the Day that day is Cinnamon Apple Crisp. (Yum)

Mac and I were thinking that we should probably meet there at 11:15-ish am to get there before the lunch crowd.

After lunch, we can decide if we want to head over to Gurnee Mills to shop, or maybe see a movie.

Please post here if you think you can attend so we can all get an idea of who's coming. Hope to see many of you there

I do!!! My primary suggested Xanax since I am getting breakouts/blatches of hives since Tuesday when I drove by myself and last nite too and now it is alsmot time to go home and am starting to itch again...

I hope all is well now with you and your son. Eventually he will understand where you are coming from. We all do when we were kids go through some stuff... now it"s their turn.... You are just being a good mom!

Ok, has this week flown by or is it just me?
Tomorrow is crazy busy. In fact this whole weekend is! Ry's birthday is on Saturday. I can't believe I have a 9 year old! AGGGHHHH!!!! He wanted to wait to have a party until his Dad was here for X-Mas break. So we'll see. Terry's pay is still messed up. I told him it is going to be a very pathetic Christmas unless we get the money. Sorry for complaining to you all, I just have to vent. It is so frustrating to STILL be short about $2000. A lot of the guys have their pay squared away but not us yet. I can only stretch the money so far you know? I am going to try to sell about $1000 of PQ stuff within the next few weeks so I will have extra money. This is a bad time of year for this to be happening.
My Mom's appontment went well. She has to go through a few more tests. But they mapped out a course of chemo for her. The initial time will be just shy of a year. Then another program for a year after that. The oncologist said this course of treatmetn has a 95% success rate! I am really happy for her. She said she will loose her hair but it gives us a GREAT shopping opportunity. She is so funny. I told her I would cut my hair off but she said it is not long enough. BUT, she wears it really short anyway, so I am going to look into it to see if I can donate what I have.
Anyway, that's it from this end. It is still butt cold outside and all of my plants froze! Oh well, such is life.
