A friend of mine just got back Saturday. She was on the dining plan and didn't make ADRs first. (GASP!) They said they didn't have any problems getting ADRs. They just went to the podium at the beginning of the day. The two restaurants she mentioned in our conversation were Coral Reef and LTT (my recommendations to her). She said crowds were great. Yay!


I've been thinking that we all picked the most perfect time to go:

• free food
• food and wine festival
• beginning of Year of a Million Dreams
• My anniversary!

I can't wait to try the food at the F&WF! I wanted to try the Cherry wine that Poland had last year, but they don't have it this year. Instead they have raspberry wine.

My sister gets to WDW and POP early this afternoon. She's promised to call and let me know what building they got. Our reservations are tied together so guess I'll be close to her. We requested the 70's building when we first made the reservation and didn't call or fax an update this week. POP Luck (HEHEHEHE) is what we'll take!!!I did call Disney today about another reservation and they said all values and some mods are no vacancy this week-end. I'll get ya an update when she calls me. Is anyone worried about the crowds? Everyone this past week have talked about just walking on all the rides and don't think that will be the case next week. We have multiple days in each park and so guess we'll see it all. Later.....

i am thinking the crowd will be BIG BIG BIG! we too are doing multiple park days and since we have the kiddies, it will be alot of single rider lines for us! we just have to hit FantasyLand as sooooon as the rope drops in the AM though so that we can get on all those rides pretty fast

Anyway, I finally broke down & bought a pair of Crocs. I got a pair of the black Mary Jane style. And, I love them. I may never wear another pair of shoes ever again. I also got a pair of airwalk fake "crocs" for my DD. (She was in between sizes on the Crocs.) So, I guess now I need to go finish packing. I'm really draggin' my feet on packing this time, & I don't know why. I usually pack a couple weeks before we leave 'cause I'm so darned excited. I just can't get motivated this time. I'm ready to go! I just don't want to pack.

I am with you on the not wanting to pack! I keep trying to do it and I keep getting sidetracked! I swore I was going to do it yesterday but I got into DD10s room and I ended up tearing it apart. Its clean now and all organized. I am working on DD8s room now. I have had them both trying on clothes. I have a bunch to ebay when I get back. I am all caught up on laundry...just gotta pack! Hopefully I can at least get the girls packed today!

I checked the dictionary.

Grill = To broil on a gridiron
Tartare = (of food) served raw

Michelle, Thanks for the opinions on the F&W snacks. I see a few things I am very excited to try. I doubt Ry will be adventerous, but you never know!

I understand what you all mean by hating to pack. I hate it too. Well actually I hate unpacking even more. Started laundry today although I will have to do a few more before we leave I am sure.

One note about liquids in carry-on luggage. All items have to fit in ONE quart size zip lock bag. So if you plan on bringing shampoo, etc make it small and only take what you will absolutely need. The TSA web site said that to avoid longer waits going through security, it is best to limit items or not bring them at all. I am very happy though that we can now bring drinks onto the aircraft. I HATE throwing away a drink that is only half full.

I think we picked a good time to go as well. I know that the crowds will pick up, but I am still counting on the UG and TGM when they say it won't get real bad until Columbus Day weekend! And we KNOW it can't be as bad as spring break or the middle of summer, so I think it will all be fine.

Off to switch out clothes!

i have to cancel that ressie it's just too late for DS and we were thinking about attempting for an earlier one and nothing is available yet. THEN we gifured let's just try it, but i don't want anyone to be put put if he starts to whine and it takes one of us a minute to get him outside. He is fine in his stroller and on the go after 7pm, but i don't want to chance it for him. so we're going to dine a lot earlier on that day and we still have not figured out where.
