This is kind of a random question..

If we purchase popcorn buckets in disneyland are they cheaper to refill than buying a bag each time the kids want some?

Popcorn is a kid favorite in my house !!!

They're running an AP promo right now where if you buy the specific AP bucket, refills are $1 for the next month or so. Other than that, no. They don't typically refill buckets. You'd just have to buy a cardboard box and dump it into the container yourself.

As SMD said, aside from the current AP promotion, DLR does not offer refill of the plastic popcorn buckets. From what I recall, the basic plastic bucket holds about 1.5 cardboard containers of popcorn. So from a pure cost-versus-volume ratio, the cardboard containers are a better deal ($4.25 for the carboard container and $8.50 for the regular bucket). That being said, I second the recommendation to get one bucket and then pour the popcorn from the cardboard container into the bucket. The bucket has a handle and a lid, which makes it easier to carry around!

And all the popcorn carts had lines 30 people long on Saturday night, with all the APs getting their $1 refill.

The good thing about those lines is that it means super fresh popcorn all the time! The carts are popping fresh batches of popcorn to keep up with the high demand. As long as everyone has their payment ready to go (I'm looking at you, person on the phone without your dollar ready and caught totally off guard when it was your turn!), the lines move pretty quickly.
