Popcorn in Buena Vista Theater

Does anyone know where we can get popcorn to take into the theater for a movie? Or, is food and drink not allowed?

... the theatre, and there's no restriction (at least that I experienced) in taking the popcorn, your pop, or any other food into the theatre.

The packaged popcorn is quite good (in my opinion), and may be one of the best bargains on the ship (it's like $1.50)...

Just a clarification...

They sell popcorn outside the Walt Disney Theater before the evening shows. They do not sell popcorn outside the Buena Vista Theater before the movies.

People on this board have mentioned ordering items from room service (cheese & crackers, cookies, etc.) and taking those to the movies. Others have said they brought some bagged snacks from home. You could also go up to Deck 9 and get pizza, chicken fingers or ice cream and take those to the movies. But no popcorn...sorry.

Perhaps it's a recent change, but they DO sell popcorn for the movies now. They have a small roller cart they set up in front of the door, and they have popcorn and a couple other small items (don't remember as we didn't buy those). They write up the charge manually as "room service", so I think we paid slightly more for it there than we did in front of the Walt Disney Theatre.

Just as a point of reference, this was the case on the 09/28 "mystery cruise". I can't tell you how long they had been doing it prior to that cruise, nor if they are still doing it for the three or four cruises since then...

They were doing it on the 10/12 western as well. They also sold soda and candy bars.

That's good news. I hate to watch a movie in a theater without popcorn! It's just not right!
