Popcorn Buckets

Has anyone seen the Mickey Elf popcorn buckets in the parks?

I can't answer the question as I haven't been there recently, but in case you weren't aware, there's a group on Facebook for Disney Popcorn Bucket collectors. You might find info there if not here.

I saw that bucket announced about a week or two before our trip and was on the hunt for it in November. Sadly, I never found the Mickey Elf.

At the time they were going fast, but at our Very Merry Party I managed to get a light-up Christmas Tree bucket, which the kids absolutely adored, but I was a little dismayed by the amount of popcorn it actually held within. It seemed that if I was buying this sort of bucket it should, you know... hold popcorn.

Admittedly though, at more than one popcorn cart, the CM would refill the Christmas Tree at no cost. One time the CM actually held the bucket open and caught the currently popping corn as it fell from the popper. I thought that was pretty nice of them.

Now home, it took a spot next to our actual Christmas Tree.

I know! Right? It's fabulous, now back home. But in the park, and I don't know what fairy dust they sprinkle on the popcorn, but my kids devour it. So here I am toting around a giant tree that holds a good handful or two. These two fighting over the remnants. CM will use a Snack credit to refill, but we'd just instead get a full box/bag and dump it in our Tree. A snack credit to simply refill the tree is not a good use of a snack credit!

LOL! Yes! I bought it and my 2 kids were like raptors. This tree is impossible to share from, popcorn was flying everywhere and I think I had three kernels. I finally thrust it at them and stormed off. It is super cute though. I think it's more economical to just buy the paper box and then later one of these things on eBay. It's not like we will ever eat out of it again. I hope the person who signed this one has to work a popcorn cart next year.
