Does anyone know if they are still doing the refillable popcorn buckets for the duration of your stay?

are the buckets different at each park?

Yep! $10 for the bucket and initial fill then you can refill that bucket at any park for $1.50. We purchased our bucket at MK (the design is Mickey and friends on the Barnstormer). I believe each park has a different popcorn bucket design but you can refill your bucket(s) at any park.

So exactly how long are the buckets good for? DD will be there on the DCP - so theoretically she can purchase a bucket and keep getting it refilled for the 6 months she is there @ $1.50 each time?

We had our bucket filled daily over the course of our seven night trip earlier this month. I didn't ask the popcorn cart staff what the expiration of the refill offer is. Maybe someone with an AP can jump in and share their knowledge on this?

There is no limit on the refills.

It's not like the bucket is date stamped.

It's valid until Disney changes its mind

They have them at every popcorn stand. you can either get a 1 time purchase cardboard container or pay more for the bucket (and a lot more for the fancy versions if they have any available as they are limited edition souvenirs). They don't always have them out to see but do have them, it looks a lot like a childs beach bucket with a lid.

I think they just started a test of the refill buckets last summer..and then it stopped and restarted semi-permanently.

I dont think the regular buckets work during Halloween and Christmas as the buckets change.

Actually, we just came back and I was about to get it filled by splash mountain but then he told me it was maple flavored so we passed. But he WAS going to do the refill.

There have been many reports of refilling the flavored ones over in EP as well.
