I must say I am starting to really hate popcorn.

In my office people cook popcorn for breakfast, lunch and a afternoon snack. Unforutnately it stinks up the entire office, so I have to smell popcorn all day long. I actually have a headache from it today.

Do you think it would be ok if I put a sign on the microwave saying popcorn is no longer allowed. It's a health concern here! :rotfl2:

Does anyone else have a problem with co-workers and stinky food?

I only have a problem with it if somebody burns popcorn. Now, that is a nasty smell.

Ugh! We had a Chinese person in our office a few years ago who would cook fish for his lunch in the microwave, and the smell would float throughout the office. I'll take popcorn anyday, thank you!

Eileen - is that you?

We cook popcorn here, uaually at 3PM every day, but other times too when we are hungry.

I hate it when people cook fish in the microwave, and some veggies like broccoli are smelly too. Cook it in the cafeteria microwave, not the office one - that's for popcorn. :teeth:

I wouldn't have a problem with the popcorn smell other than if I wasn't allowed a handful :teeth: Popcorn I am sad to say is my downfall, I can't resist.

Now other stinky foods, yes, I would hate to be smelling warmed up fish or something along those lines.

Uh oh, well you better not stop by my house because a bag of popcorn is what I had for lunch today. The kids were all at school and I was hungry but to lazy to actually cook anything. :goodvibes

I love the smell of popcorn :teeth: but I used to work with a guy who heated up fried plaintains in the microwave every night around 3am and it would make me feel sick. :rotfl:

We always have popcorn at work it is like a staple of our daily food intake nothing better than that smell floating around. I would have to say we must have over 150 back of popcorn popped at work every day.

Yum, popcorn. I've been craving it for 4 days, but I've been sick with the flu and unable to go and buy some.

Now I can sit and daydream about popcorn, thanks OP!

Soggy popcorn (like a bowl that's been sitting with a little water in it overnight) is just plain wrong. You can quote me on that.

McDonald's French Fries! Those things seem to be able to stink up a stadium. And I swear the smell alone makes me gain 5lbs....

I always loved popcorn and then suddenly one day the smell made me want to vomit. Don't know why. Going to the movies is not pleasant for me.

My old boss used to microwave his tuna fish ewwweeeeee

:sad2: :sad2:

Popcron is fine, it just makes me HUNGRY. But I cannot take fish, broccoli or caulifower heated up in the microwave.

Have you ever been around that Fillipino 'snack' balut?
If you had, you'd never forget it~

It's an aged duck egg--it has to have had a baby duck in it. I mean feet, head everything!
so it has 2 things going for it aroma & visuals :earseek:

A friend of mine was making some in her apartment's yard--she burried the eggs ( you do this for a certain number of days)--& got so many complaints from neighbors, she had to get rid of the stuff!

It was so nice of one of our co-workers to bring in some of her own 'home grown' balut to compensate--gee, they even offered us some! :teeth:
Out of 55 people only one took them up on it & we all know Sam is crazy! :rotfl:

Popcorn smell does not bother me. Other smells do have their place though. When I worked for my father and he was being a PITA we would all get together and open a few cans of tuna. My father hated tuna, so he would leave the office for a few hours. That was a great way for us to get some work done without him bothering us!
