POP/Yacht Club Split Stay Logistics

Hey All,

We have a 10 Day stay coming up in August, where we are spending the first night at POP, then transferring to the Yacht Club on the second day. We plan on going to MK on the transfer day, and going to MNSSHP that night. Would you:
A) Give your luggage to Bell Services and hit the park up first thing that morning, and come back later that day during a break to get organized, hoping that it is there in time for us to get back to MK ;
B) Move the luggage ourselves to hope that we are able to get into the room early, otherwise, leaving it with Bell Services at the YC; or,
C) Some other idea?

We have a couple of split stays under our belt, and another coming up next month. We go with either option A or B depending on what we have planned the day of our move...often your luggage won't be transferred until much later in the afternoon so if it's very important to you to have access to it (assuming your room is ready) prior to mid or late afternoon, you might want to move it yourself & leave with bell services.
 
We've done it both ways and my preference depends on what my plans are for the day. If I may want access to my luggage earlier then I move it myself. If I'm going to a park and won't need anything out of those bags until bedtime, I let bell services handle it. If you plan to move it yourself, just be aware that you'd need to have a car/ take a taxi/ use a rideshare.

Cross your fingers that the gondolas will be running by then and transfer them yourself leave with bell services at YC? That's my plan. We are doing the exact same thing, going from Pop to YC. We are staying CL, we plan to get up early and try to check into club level at 8AM, grab a bite then head over to HS.
 
If you will need to change into costumes for MNSSHP then definitely move the luggage yourself. We always grab a taxi and then check our bags with Bell Services when we arrive at our new resort. That way they can be accessed quickly and easily.
 
Ubers are cheap and readily available on Disney property. That ride should be no more than $8-$10.

Luggage is not allowed on existing Disney Transportation. I don’t believe it will be on the Gondoas either. You won’t be able to schlep them that way

Boo! Thanks for the info. I think we'll probably just pack swimsuit in a backpack and have bell service take everything else. We'll use the gondolas to get to YC to check-in and leave our backpack with bell services before we head to HS.
 
We've done it both ways. We tend to prefer leaving our luggage with Bell Services and then just heading to a park. In your case since you have MNSSHP, you might want to taxi or mini-van over to YC with your luggage so that it's for sure there when you need to get ready for MNSSHP later that day.
 
Thanks for the info everyone! I think that moving it ourselves may be the best option, so at least I know its there if/when I need it at some point during the day.
 
We have this same situation coming up in June. We are moving it ourselves late in the AM in the hopes the room is ready. I also built in a few hours in the late afternoon (just in case it wasn’t ready) to retrieve it and do a quick unpack before heading to MK for EMH. I really don’t want to deal with that aspect at 1am.

ETA: we are using Uber
 
On move day, we usually check out a little later (10 - 11) and have bell services transfer our bags. Then we go to a park for the day and stay at the park for as long as we can stand. :)
Since you want to be staying late at MK that night, this might be a good approach. Then you can just stay at the park all day and not have to worry about going to YC until after the party. After the party, you just hop on the bus back to YC and pick up your luggage from Bell Services.
