Hey!

I'm considering staying at POP but i wanted to know which building YOU stayed at, why, and would you go back to that same building? If you wouldn't then why not?

All comments welcome ;)

Thanks!

Stayed in the Big Wheel building. Thought t was good, far enough away from the main pool but close neough to the main hall.

We booked a preferred room and got 3rd floor hippity dippity poolside 60's bldg and it was not as loud as I feared it would be! It was great. I requested first floor with my preferred room location this trip and my fingers are crossed that we get 60's poolside again. I like it!

We stayed in the 70's section (Mickey Phone building) and had a room facing the lake. We were on the 4th floor which was quiet for the most part. So relaxing to stand on the balcony there.

My only beef with this section is the looonnnngggg walk to the parking lot but I knew that when I asked for the Mickey Phone building. :lmao:

We've only stayed in the 50's section. Non-preferred rooms on the back side of the Juke box. The first time we stayed on the 3rd floor and really liked it. Last time we were on the ground floor and didn't care for the location. I never want ground floor again. It was pretty noisy and we weren't even facing the pool or lake. But by the end of our stay our rooms seemed really, really far from the bus stops.

Next time I'm going to request the 70s building, upper floor. From the maps it looks closer to the busses and main building than the 50's Juke box building. Anyone know if that's true?

I've stayed 1 night at pop in 2005 in the 80's section first floor by the rabbit. I hated the location. It was loud, a long walk to anything and we had an accessible room. Glad we were only staying a day.

last year we stayed 50's building lakeside, top floor 11 nights. I loved it! It was so quiet, close to the bowling pin pool, not too far from the 60's pool. After so many days and blisters on my feet the walk seemed long to the food court and busses. I loved the location though.

just let me say pop is my favorite value resort!! we've stayed there many times and my favorite bldgs are: 50s-i believe it is bldg. 3, our door was right outside from the Lady(dog). it was very convient to the pools, laundry, and food court. my 2nd favorite is 60s. we were in the bldg. where balou from jungle book, facing the pool. don't stay in the 90s! we were stuck back there on our Oct. trip and was a long walk to the food ct. we stayed in the 90s facing the parking lot and buses and it was nice cause you got to watch illuminations every night but still a long walk to food ct. we've stayed in the 70s and it was a nice bldg.
have fun-we loooovvvveeee pop!!

I've stayed in the 50's section, bldg 2 (behind the jukebox) and bldg 1, to the right of the pool. The bldg 2 room was on the third level, way to the end of the bldg..as far as you could go, right at the parking lot. Very quiet. Bldg 1 was ground level, on the backside of the bldg...towards the entrance to the resort. Nice area.
Then we've stayed in the 80's section, Roger Rabbit out front. We were on the backside, facing the parking lot/lake, on ground level, close to a Rubic's Cube. Incredibly quiet and peaceful back there, and not all that long a walk to the main bldg/bus stop.
In Jan I was put in the 60's section, bldg 4..room 4441, fourth floor, facing the lake. Oh..Play-doh bldg. I think this was my favorite area.

Both times I stayed in the 60's and really enjoyed it.
First time I had a room in the 80's and didn't like how far it was so I switched after one night.

We stayed in the 70's building the Big Wheel was right out side our room. It was a perfect location, near the food court, pools and buses. I would stay there again.

We have been at the Pop 4 times, always stayed in th 50's section (by request) and all but once in non-preferred rooms. Stayed once in the Tramp building, top floor, lake view - very quiet. Kind of far from parking, but we never use our car, so it didn't matter. All other stays have been in the Lady Building - 1 floor, pool view. Never had issues with noise. Very convenient to main building (which means food/store/front desk) and bus stops. Close to parking lot.
Can't comment on the other areas, but 50's works for us!

Pop is a big favorite of mine - will be staying there again in May. I believe it's my 10th stay there. I've stayed in all eras except the 60s which were preferred buildings. Favorite? 80s & 90s, baby!

Stayed 10 nights in December in the 50s section (building 2 I think?)
I had requested 4th floor Epcot view because I had heard you could watch the fireworks from the balcony and it was true. I loved it. I think it was probably one of the longer walks, but I personally think this resort is so small that nowhere is a long walk...I love it. I've already rebooked us for August and made the same request.

I've stayed in 50's, 70's and 80's. I'd go back regardless b/c it's a nice resort but my favorite was the 50's. Close to everything. I hated the 80's b/c it was such a far hike to the buses and food court.

Slightly off subject but ...... staying at POP for the first time this August. Are there elevators :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

Just a note...all of 60's is no longer considered 'preferred'...there are other eras that also have 'preferred' rooms. I was in 60's in Jan and it was a standard room..back of bldg, facing the lake. But those rooms, in most bldgs, that face the pools are preferred.

Yes, the bldgs all have a set of elevators, right in the middle, behind the big icon.

Yes, there are elevators in every section. And they actually work.

We stayed in the 70s section, building 6 overlooking the lake. Great view. Lovely room. Could see the ToT from our room. Relatively close to everything. Main draw back is hauling the laundry over to the laundry room by the hippy dippy pool.

We stayed in the 60s bldg and liked it a lot. But next time I would stay in the 1950's. Have a great trip!!

I stayed in the 60's the first trip, and the 50's last trip. I have to say I liked the 50's better. I think the pool there is a little less hectic than the 60's pool and we saw the fireworks at epcot from our balcony every night.

I've stayed in all of them and would go back to any of them. But my best sections are 50s, 80s and 70s.
