We had no problems at all. Though we didnt spend much time there!! lol Mousekeeping was efficient. Foodcourt was fine for a quick meal. Staff was very courteous at all times. No irritating people (ok - one really annoying lady on the bus but hey - why let it get me down!! :flower: )

I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Happy to answer any specific questions....... :wave2:

We were also at POP 6/10 - 6/19 and had a great time! This was our second stay at POP and we have always had excellent service from all the staff. Mousekeeping was really good this time, we even had three towel animals! :Pinkbounc

I have plenty of questions! lol ;)
How did you set up your room?
Was there enough space to unpack?
Is there a safe for your valuables?
Was it noisy?
Which building did you stay in?
Did you bring blankets, candles, white noise machine etc. or anything else for your room?
Can you adjust the air conditioning yourself? How many pools are there? Were they crowded?
Any tips for someone considering Pop, but worried cause she's kind of a princess: Thanks!

I'm so glad that you had a great trip! I love POP! :)

I'm not the OP but I'll try and answer some of your questions! We were at Pop from June 5-13!

How did we set up our room? Um, well there were four of us. Two teenagers, DH and myself. The dresser had three large drawers and three small drawers. DD's clothes went in the top drawers (1 lg. & 1 sm), DS's clothes were in the middle drawer (1 lg. & 1 sm) and DH's clothes were in the bottom drawer (1 lg.) The small drawer on the bottom we filled with snacks! Due to no more drawer space I kept my clothes in the suitcase and put it on the little luggage rack thing in the closet. All the other suitcases were now empty so I piled them on the shelf in the closet. Other stuff that we needed handy (sunscreen, make up, etc.) we kept on the shelves next to the TV. I hope that's what you meant by how did we set up our room!

Yes, plenty of space to unpack. Some people feel the Pop rooms are too small but we had plenty of room for four adult size people.

There is a small safe. There's a $35 fee if you lose the key! I never lost it but it made me paranoid!

It wasn't noisy at all to us. But we had friends staying in the next room and they were kept awake one night until 2 AM with noise from the pool. We never heard anything and slept perfectly well. So noise is an individual thing.

We were in the 50's building, facing the pool, 1st floor.

We didn't bring anything else for our room. I like "white noise" and when I needed that I just turned on the fan in the bathroom for a little bit.

We had no problems adjusting the air conditioning ourselves. No problems with it getting too hot in the night (I'd read that was a problem for some.)

There are 3 pools - the main pool by the 60's buildings, a computer pool by the 80's buildings and a bowling pin pool by the 50's buildings. The pools did get pretty crowded at night.

I'd say give Pop a try! You might love it! We surely did! But maybe we aren't hard to please because I haven't stayed in a Disney resort yet that I didn't love (okay maybe POR not so much but we liked that very much!)

Glad you had a great trip! We were at the POP the 10th-20th!

Hello princess: !! lol

I see that someone has already answered some questions for you. We are a family of 4 with 2 adults and 2 DDs, ages 6 and 2. We had an adjoining room with my parents which really helped. The rooms are the size of a standard (but smallish) hotel. Plenty room for us though. Unpacking, fine. DH and DDs used the drawers in the dresser and I hung and used the small suitcase. I brought an over the doro shoe holder for toiletries which worked out great.

We stayed in the 60's preferred building, first floor by the big Play Dough, lake side. NO NOISE AT ALL. Never woke up once. I didnt bring anything to help me sleep. I was SO tired that I dont think ANYTHING could have kept me awake!! lol

We didnt use the safe but it was there. Air conditioning was totally fine - adjustable and powerful. Airflow was a teensy weak in the shower now that I think about it but not an issue.

Pools...we used the Hippy Dippy pool exclusively and mainly swam at night. It was well used but not anymore crowded than any of the other resort's pools that we saw when we visited for dinners and such.

I would choose Pop if you are looking for a good value and a place to crash. If luxury is your style, go elsewhere. I would rather spend less on the room (which we are never in) and more on "Stuff"!!! Deluxe prices at Disney are totally not for me. I would spend that kind of money for a cruise or island vacation where you spend more time in your space!

Hope this helps..... :Pinkbounc

Can you tell me about the buses. Just wondering? Were they crowded each day before the park opened and upon returning at the end of the day when the park closed? Thanks

I have stayed at the Pop two times and am planning my third for this Sept. I highly recommend the Pop! I have never stayed anywhere other than the Pop so I really can not compare it to another resort. For my first trip, I was with a friend and we were two single mid-twenties girls :earsgirl: :earsgirl: there to have fun on a budget and we thought that the Pop was awesome. We stayed in the 90's buliding on the 3rd floor facing a giant CD. The walk to the busses and the food court was not that far to us, just across a parking lot. The only thing was the air was hard to control-I like to be able to hang meat in the room though and my friend (who lives in FL) did not find it to be a problem. I liked it so well that I took my mother and aunt & uncle there after we got off the cruise and they liked it. Their only complaint was that it was so far from the buliding, we were in the 50's bldg. on the far end by the parking. My family tends to be high maintenence, princess: but they enjoyed their stay overall. I am tight with my money and feel that the values are just fine for me. I know that if I ever stayed at moderates, it would be hard to go back to value; therefore I continue with good 'ole Pop Century and along with the FREE MMW DINING, I will sit back and count all of the $$ that I will be saving :cool1: ..who knows maybe I will buy some souveniers that I have been to cheap to buy in the past!!! :mickeybar

The buses were not bad at all. My only complaint was that at Pop you wait in line in the elements - no shade or cover from the rain.

I think that overall, the bus system is quite efficient and really the best way to go. We only had one bad experience in the evening, after the parade. We waited for 40 minutes. Bus after bus came for the other resorts. I still dont know what happened. But, we still rode the buses after that without any issues.

They ARE crowded. I was never on a bus that didnt have people standing but I am totally claustropobic and it didnt freak me out at all!!! ;)

Hope this helps...

Glad you had a great time! Sometimes you just can't beat the value $$$ to stay there!
