We will potentially be taking our first trip during Pop Warner time. Any info on which resorts will be affected and which dates exactly?

It's not official until the Fall when the Pop Warner schedule is out. It is typically the first full week of December arriving on a Saturday and leaving the following Saturday. For 2012, it will likely be Saturday December 1st through Saturday December 8th, but that is speculation my part.

The resorts will be harder to guess this year due to the changes at POR. In years past, it was typically always the All Stars and POR as the host resorts. Due to the POR refurbs this past year, it was CBR instead of POR and I also heard POP instead of the All Stars but I don't know if that's true and if it is, why they switched it to POP. Since a lot of the POR inventory is now Royal Rooms which are an upcharge, I would not be surprised if they kept CBR as the host hotel this year too. It will provide more standard room inventory, and plus CBR is in need of a refurbishment and the word is that those Pop Warner kids can be rough on the rooms. Just speculation again though!

Any other info that anyone tells you would be pure speculation and totally useless to you.

Only time will tell. If you want to avoid it all together or want to book right now and not wait until they post the resorts on the website just a few weeks before the championships, I would book the week after Thanksgiving (my week) or the second full week in December.

If you want to go the first full week in December, book a deluxe or rent points at DVC properties. Pop Warner families at those resorts are few and far between; they only upgrade if they have been before or have the opportunity to rent points or can afford to pay the higher prices.
