I am stressing big time, I booked Dec 4-11 after reading and rereading what a great time to go it is, low crowds, good price, and I've been checking everything that would affect those dates (or so I thought) I completely forgot about Pop Warner and just looked up the dates for 2010... Dec 4-11!!:scared1: I'm staying at POFQ. Should I be worried? I'm so upset that its going to be awful :sad1:

Just be aware that the group will most likely be staying at the POR and POFQ. They will have an affect on the food court,( because each team generally eats at the same time in the morning)the pool, (it most likely will be crowded in the evening) and at times they may be getting on the buses as a large group.
Be prepared and you will do fine, I avoided ordering hot food in the foodcourt in the morning. I either just grabbed a pop tart and a piece of fruit and ate outside or waited until I got to a park to grab something. Instead of swimming at the main pool at the POFQ in the evening or if there was a large group there, I went over to one of the quiet pools. If I went out to the bus stop and a large group was going to say the MK, I changed plans and went to another park.

POFQ does not have quiet pools, only one pool. there are 5 quiet pools at POR.

you should be fine. Relax and have a great trip- remember, you're at Disney!

Pop warner itself will book a package for the teams. I also went during an Dance team event this year and they offered ASmusic and sport or you could upgrade to CBR. Disney it is rumored have changed the group resort from POR to CBR. But this has been said before and didn't occur for Popwarner last year.

Further in the past they stayed in POR not POFQ.

One thing to remember is they are there for a championship so lots of teams playing early in the week, many eliminated teams in the parks later in the week. Also note they have a park night, so stay away from that park that day.

This is a link to info about thier 2009 package.

5 years ago we stayed in POFQ during Pop Warner.
Most kids stayed at the value resorts and POR. POFQ was soooo quiet :cloud9:

I've said it before and I'll say it again! They will go where there is availablity!! We were at Coronado this past December, and they were all over the place! Not only Pop Warner was there, but we also had the National Dance and Cheer teams the week prior to Pop for the parade taping, so don't just count on them being isolated to the value resorts, they go everywhere except the deluxe resorts I am pretty sure.

Exactly. POFQ is by no means a safe haven from the Warner crowd.
You might get lucky--and you might not.

Back in '03, I was at AllStarMusic at the same time the POP kids were there. I really didn't even notice them, unless I was at the food court area at normal eating times. I had no bad experiences with them...I think the majority of the time, the kids are fine. Yes, they can get a bit noisy, but that
's the nature of the beast so to speak.

You will most likely be just fine. I doubt they will be put up in POFQ...that resort is usually held for non-POP guests. Yes, it 'could' happen, but most likely won't. And the kids are just not a factor in the parks..especially during the day.
I have been going to WDW, at the same time as the PW kids, every year since '03. It just isn't all that bad. And it is becoming more and more crowded. It isn't the low crowd time it used to be.

Yes I know, its a quick walk over to the POR from the POFQ. And the quiet pool between Parterre Place and Oak Manor was perfect.

Prior to last year the over flow from the POR had gone to the POFQ, but last year they were given the POFQ as one of the resort choices.
Even with the overflow being at the POFQ, the group does have an impact on the food court and the pool.
We did not have any noise problems that some other people have reported. There was no cheering in the courtyards etc, but there was a lot of "horse play" in the pool which made it uncomfortable for some people.

But wouldn't they go to other parks during the day and then to DHS that night???

after all they will have DHS all to themsleves

when we were at Music with them, sorry to burst your bubble, but they were very loud at night. running up and down, cheering, yelling, swearing loudly, etc. I usually love teens, but I really couldn't sleep. calling the front desk didn't help. (it was 1 am, 2 am)
maybe bring ear plugs, just in case. I really think if the chaperones won't disney should enforce a midnight curfew.

Not the majority of them.

It works the same way as EMH. When guest get to have evening EMH the majority go to that park all day whether or not they have park hoppers. It's just pshychology as to what they see as simplest.

This is why the busiest park on any given day is the one with EMH.
