I'm planning a trip Dec 5-10 this year and I heard that it's going to be crowded at the hotels because of Pop Warner. Has anyone else hard this?

There are TONS of threads on Pop Warner. You will get different opinions from everyone. We were there last year during Pop Warner week and had absolutely no problems with them at all. In fact we liked it so much (low crowds, nice temps, beautiful decorations) that we are going back the same week this year. The values will be busy but most of the mods and deluxes will be far less crowded.

Don't let it stress you out! You will be at Disney and have a wonderful time :thumbsup2 See you there :wave2:

If you are at the values then yes you will notice an impact. They do overflow to a couple of the moderates but I can't remember which ones. If you are at the deluxes you won't notice.

We were at the values with them in 04. It was very busy and noisy. I wouldn't stay at a value with them again. No way no how. We didn't encounter them at the parks, either that or our park schedule was different than theirs.

we went last year during pop warner week. only times we saw the kids was at the all star resorts(please dont stay at any of them)pop century was nice. only park we saw the kids was at MK. the kids and coaches are worried about winning. enjoy the parks. have fun. we did last year for 11 days. only days we saw the bigger crowds was the weekends.

We were there in 2004 at the same time as Pop Warner. It wasn't a big deal at all. The only time it was crowded was at MGM from 3:00 until closing one night. That was the night they were having a big after hours party and everyone got there early. We stayed at SSR and AKL and never had a problem at the hotels. I wouldn't worry about it.

I agree with the above posters. We were there last year with them. Noticed nothing. I do assume that if you're staying at a value resort you will notice the crowds and probably the noise. I would not let it stop me from going because it is such a great time of year to be there.

Was there last year. Parks great. Stayed at POR. So did Pop Warner. Resort full, only dined there once. Very noisy took ages to get food. Kids ran riot at night at the "quiet" pool till 2.00am and one morning, till 4.00am. Security did nothing and yes we did ring them and even got up and went to reception cos we were so desparate for sleep. Chaperones busy reliving their own glory days, were at the pool with them and let them get on with it. Manager informed us that many rooms were damaged and as they were fully booked right up till Xmas, he was very worried. I guess some people got moved to other resorts. It's a fantastic time to visit the parks but make sure the resort you want, tells you if Pop Warner will also be there.

Let me begin by saying I am Childless by Choice, so I'm not super crazy about kids. With that said, we had no issues with the kids at all--and we were at value resorts. HOWEVER, I did ask for out of teh way rooms, away from pools and the football area at Sports.
