pop warner week/pop century

hi everyone,

i am staying with my husband and two small children at pop century from december 8-13. i am reading online that pop warner week runs during the time we will be there.

it sounds like pop century is one of the resorts they will be staying in.

but i've also read that it's only the little kids sports teams that will be staying at pop, not the teenagers.

it isn't a HUGE deal regardless...but...if we are going to be surrounded by herds of teenagers, i will likely consider switching resorts. little kids, i don't mind at all.

has anyone heard anything regarding this?

We were there Pop Warner week in 2011. We stayed at OKW that trip, so I can't speak to the kids at the value resorts. Hopefully someone with more direct experience can speak to the resort specifically.

That said, I can say from our experience in the parks that there are a lot of teenagers involved in that process (both teams and siblings). Most of the people stay at the values, so I can't imagine it would only be younger kids staying there.

I stayed during Pop Warner week at the All-Star Sports in 2006. There were more kids than usual in the food court and a lot of cheer practicing on the football field, but nothing more than that. I didn't notice them in the parks at all unless they did a cheer in line, which was rare. I can't imagine it's changed all that much since 06.

BTW, going to be at ASMo during Pop Warner this year.

Accomodations are the All Star Resorts, Carribean Beach Resort, and Pop Century. Packages range from 3-5 nights. Youngest teams scheduled to be at the Pop.
