I was just checking out the December activities and it said that there was the Pop Warner SuperBowl at the Sports Complex. It will be going on at the time we are going to be there. Does anyone know what this is and is it open to the public. It may be something fun and new to do. We are a football crazy Green Bay Packer family!!!

Pop Warner is for football players and cheerleaders in the age 5 to 16 range. I don't know if it's open to the general public, but my guess is that their families & friends would want to see them. But it might be a little light for Green Bay Packer fans...:p

Thanks DebbieB, I think you're right. I thought it might be something to surprise hubby with, but I think I'll keep looking!!!

It is the Super Bowl of PEE WEE football, kids from different states go down to compete with each other.Last year our town sent down our local team we are Meriden Raiders NEW ENGLAND CHAMPS unfortunately we didn't do to well but still its a big deal for kids.I am proud to say that our family is involved with this league.so who know maybe we might be down there again.

That' s great wdw gang, I know it's really something when kids get to do something like that. Seems to also really bring a community together too.

I checked the Pop Warner website, but couldn't find any info on December. Did you notice when in December? Thanks!

I think it's around Dec 7 to 13. We've gone the past 6 years around this time and have seen them in groups around the parks but it wasn't a big deal. I understand they mostly stay at the All Stars.

Looks like last year's super bowl started on Sun, Dec. 7th - so this year will probably start on Dec. 5th. The flight we wanted to book out of our local airport on Friday the 3rd is already double the normal price - I called Spirit to find out why and she said the flight is already almost full - since we have a lot of Pop Warner groups in the area, I suspect a large group may be travelling to WDW to enjoy a couple of days before they begin to play. Looks like we'll have to fly out a day early or make the drive to Philly !! Looks like a great program for kids, though !!
