Pop Warner question

I just read that Pop Warner is Dec 2-9 this year--is this correct? If so, do they usually do the same week each year? This year, happily, I am going Dec 11-20, but was thinking of moving it up a week next year and going Dec 2-10. Will probably stay at deluxe, so don't think I would run in to them there, but do they overrun the parks or pretty much not? I could always change my week to week before Thanksgiving if they will really make the place crazy. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I always book my WDW reserves far in advance, so already thinking about Dec 2016.

Pop Warner is the first week of December, competition starts 12/7. My daughters team just qualified and folks are heading down 12/5 or 12/6. Resorts are All Stars, CB and CSR. Teams practice and compete that whole week.

They are generally there the first full week in Dec.
I haven't had an issue when at a resort with teams. That was at an All a Stars about 10 yes ago tho.
Normally the teams don't stay in the deluxes....usually value and a moderate.
In the parks? Not a big issue. As the week goes on, and teams are eliminated, you might see more kids in the parks. But it's usually not a huge issue.
I'm usually in WDW at this time of year....that wouldn't be the case if there were issues.

They arrive the weekend after Thanksgiving weekend. This year they start arriving 12/5, next year should be 12/3. It lasts until the following Saturday.

We have gone the same time as them several years, we have not had any issues bc we have stayed deluxe and we didnt run into them at the parks. Now the people who stayed Value had different stories to tell

I have been at WDW during PW at least 9 times, and at least 7 of them in the same (value) resort. Please note that I am Childless by Choice and cannot be considered "Kid Friendly." I have NEVER had an issue with PW kids!!! I find them polite, respectful and often pleasantly friendly. They have minimal impact in the parks.

In contrast, I was at WDW April 2013, 2014 & 2015 during Cheer Spirit week and I found the cheerleaders incredibly self absorbed, unaware of others, UNsupervised and often rude. Give me Pop Warner any day!

You had the exact same experience I had, PW has always been fine with coaches and chaperones keeping them in line but the cheerleaders are rude and unsupervised. We had cheerleaders try to cut in line at DTD to get on the bus after we had been waiting in a long line they just walked up while we were waiting for people to get off the bus and tried to walk right on the bus. I told them to go to the end of the line and they argued with me and the bus driver got off the bus and told them to go to the end of the line so they argued with her. You would think when their chaperones showed up they would yell at the girls? Nope they argued with me and the bus driver. The bus driver stood in their way and let everyone else on the bus then didn't let them on the bus and made them wait for the next bus. That bus driver had 4 separate people go to the front desk and tell them what a great job she's doing. Also the girls would step in front of the lines in the food court and not wait their turn.
